I signed my son up for tae kwon doe lesions. Then he broke his leg before he started. I called the school and told them but they processed my application anyway. Then they reported no payment to Trans Union. If I knew that they had filled the application anyway I would have paid.
When my son was all healed up I went into talk to them because he still wanted the lessons. I was told I would be credited for the year he missed if I paid my payments. So I paid the bank holding the contract in full in one payment. This paid for a three year course.
Then 1 year from the day I paid them they said my contract was over and I would have to pay for another three years if my son was to still attend. I asked them what happened to my other 2 years and they said you signed a contract and that contract is over.
This bad payment is still on my credit report. If I knew he was not going to get three years of schooling I never would have paid the $1600.00. So he got one year of schooling for the 3 year price. We don't have another $1600.00 to pay them for them to steal. My poor son put in all that hard work for nothing. To be lied to by an immoral person!! This is wrong!!

typical mcDojo

hello. i read this and this appears to me to be a typical mcDojo or "black belt factory" where they charge crazy fees and have contracts and teach next to nothing.
check out this website: http://bullshido.com
They have lots of information to combat martial arts fraud. in general, the best schools don't have contracts (they do a month-to month thing)or if they do have contracts, they are easy to get out of with little fees and almost always a refund. any dojo who causes a hassle like what you are describing is a mcDojo and you are better off having your kids going to a different school altogether, before they are taught something incorrectly and are not able to defend themselves should that situation arise(if self-defense is the goal).
good luck
