World Voice Link Inc rip-off scam, promises that ended up being liesBedford, Texas and Birmingham, Alabama

I too have been ripped off by World Voice Link Inc. They called one November 2001 evening full of promises that ended up being lies. I have never received the additional information nor the voucher for a FREE pager as I was originally promised.

The only thing that I have received is a $19.95 charge on my phone bill for a service that I do not have and have never used. I have called them every month since the end of November 2001 and each time have requested to have their service cancelled.

Each time my phone call is recorded and I am told to go ahead and pay the $19.95 and that they would send a voucher to my telephone company for the charge. This has only happened once since November 2001.

The first of every month I get my phone bill. The first of every month, there the charge is for World Voice Link Inc...once again they have not cancelled this service and are still billing me for it, knowing that if I do not pay the $19.95 my phone company will shut my phone off.

Just today I got my phone bill and once again I called World Voice Link Inc. I was not nearly as nice this time as I have been in the past. The lady, who sounds just like the exact same lady that I have talked to each month, asked me if I had gotten a cancellation number...I told her no, but that my call had been recorded to ensure that this was cancelled. She put me on hold for 15 minutes and then disconnected the call.

Something seriously needs to be done about this company. I am a single unemployed at the moment mother of 2 and I cannot afford to be taken advantage of, which is exactly what is happening. Is there no one who can help us, the victims of this scam?
