When we joined Worldwide Destinations, they told us they would be able to get our cruises for a lower price than we could get. They knew that we were mainly interested in cruising. We requested a price on a cruise we picked out and they sent us an e-mail saying they were working on it. After 24 days we hadn't heard from them so we resubmitted our request and did get a price in 5 days. The price was over $500.00 more than we could have gotten off the internet. We called over 10 times trying to get an explanation as to why it was so much more money. Every call we made we were told they would get back with us and we would leave our phone #. I finally decided I would put the same cruise request in again then maybe I could talk to someone. It worked, it was a different price, but still $150.00 more than the computer. I did get to talk to the guy and told him the difference of prices. He finally said that they could not get my cruise for as low a price as I could get on my own. At that point I realized I had been scamed out of my membership money!

I called and told them I wanted to cancel my membership ( I hadn't used it ) She said that her supervisor would call me that afternoon to talk to me about the problems. It took 21 days till the supervisor called to inquire about why I was unpleased with the service and the price.

To sum my experience up, they prey on people with promises of getting us low prices, but don't deliver. They don't return calls to try to solve problems. They took the membership money and ran with it.

As the Manger of this office in Tampa I have diligently tried to find a complaint from Ann in Winter Haven. We log our calls and our call backs for this specific reason and have no record of her complaint. With that in mind I do want to respond to the complaint as it is invalid. I have been with Worldwide Destination Services since its inception and I routinely receive calls from owners who have booked a cruise with us and found it cheaper on line. EVERY time this has happened I have gone on line with the customer only to find out that the price they received on line was for a different sailing date, a different ship, a different cruise line or, most common of all, a different level of cabin, of which there are many. Having said that, I will also say that although we routinely save our owners a nice percentage on their cruise bookings, we are not perfect and there really is not a lot of money to be saved in cruising as it is a very cost effective and inexpensive way to vacation. Our owners receive their greatest savings and value in our Luxury Resort Program. There they can saves thousands on each and every vacation, and stay in beautiful places. Our Money Back Guarantee states, Stay 1 week in one of our Luxury Resorts over the next 12 months, and if you do not feel that you received a good value, write us a letter explaining why and we will refund your purchase price. There are NO questions asked and NO fine print to that guarantee. Lastly, we vacation and travel thousands of families each and every year and this is our second posting on this site.
