I should have known not to get involved in playing on a site, i.e., Worldwinner.com, that does not have a phone number that you can contact them at. In addition, it takes 48 hours for them to "resolve" issues - and I am being sarcastic when I say resolve.

The bottom line is that this company, Worldwinner.com, has robbed me blind. And I can't believe that I got taken as I consider myself to be pretty intelligent. This site uses all the tricks in the book to cheat the players out of their money.

In my case, I played in a Solitaire tournament that paid first place $210 and second place $90. After all but two slots had played, I was well in first place - by a landslide. I was so surprised - because I'm not that great of a player but I play a lot. I anxiously watched my tournament and waited for the final two slots to play so that I would get a great prize payout. For the longest time no one played. That was very unusual because I see the same people playing in that same tournament every night. But, I thought that since I had a very high score that they must not want to spend the money to challenge it again. Then midnight EST rolled around. On that particular night, the site changed up the types of Solitaire tournaments at midnight. But, instead of leaving that tournament on the list so that two more people could play it and close it out, the site removed the tournament from the list and replaced it with a different type with a different entry fee. That meant that the only way the tournament would close is if someone that was already in played again. I wasn't going to pay another entry fee - I was in first place. So I just waited and waited. Two hours later, all of a sudden, a player that I never heard of before plays the tournament and scores higher than me! At that point, I went to bed - discouraged but still looking forward to receiving the second place prize.

In the morning, I signed onto the site and there is another player that I've never heard of before and she has beat my score as well. I look at their profiles and see that the scores that they got that day just happened to be the highest scores they've ever received in that game on that site. What a coincidence! I have spent 3 days trying to get an answer out of Worldwinner and finally I received a generic e-mail from their "Fairness" department with a bunch of mumbo jumbo as to why I had no argument.

I am convinced that I was cheated out of the $210 prize. I haven't played on the site since. It wasn't until tonight when I tried to sign onto the site - thinking maybe they had a change of heart and credited my account - ha! - that I noticed I can't get onto the site. So I went on Google and I could not believe all the complaints against this company - Worldwinner. I just wish I had checked it out before joining the site.

I've seen a lot of reports against Worldwinner and I see all of my same complaints in the short month that I've been on their site. The situation I described above is the just one - but it is the worst so that's why I chose to write about it. Another reason I thought this site was legitimate and fair is because they are affiliated with GSN (Game Show Network). I guess that doesn't mean squat. I think I should write to GSN and let them know about my experience.

Just because you don't understand it doesn't make it illegal. Suck it up.
