Wow Airlines is an absolute ripfoff. Do not fly with them if you don't want to be ripped off. Ásta and Hildur acknowledged that they would rather the reputation of their discount airline be destroyed then to process a proper baggage refund that was never used. 

Here is how the Wow Air Scam Works

They send you a confusing email telling you that you need to pay for your baggage in advance because the price is going to go up. Then it is very confusing as their website does not always validate to English so you have to navigate through the native Icelandic language.

They charge you for each leg of the trip and have you check off each person flying. When you go to the airport you are told that you over paid and you can gladly get a refund but when you inquire about the refund the Wow Airline Scam kicks in and they refuse to refund you for the baggage that you did not use.
