This woman, Kris, claims to be a good breeder. HA! She sold us a sick cat. He had FIP. That is something they get when they are kittens from large cat households. I have one other cat. We bought him from her for 800.

The picture of him on her website was great. He looked gorgeous. As soon as I picked him up he looked sickly. He never made any noise, cried, nothing. He always kept to himself hiding in places. We just thought he needed to adjust.

Well not even two months later he started scratching himself so badly he was getting sores on his neck. We took him to the vet and 150 dollars later, he has a yeast infection in his ears that has been there so long that he can't hear.

We called Kris about the situation and she immediately said it was our fault. There was no way to prove this so we dropped it. Well not even a week later, he was getting worse. He was so thin. Wouldn't eat much, but his belly was large.

We took him to the vet again, and she immediately felt his belly and thought there was fluid in it. The vet took some of the fluid from his belly and he was diagnosed with FIP. He was not going to live much longer and needed to be put down.

I called Kris with this information and she again blamed it on me and actually said it could have came from my other cats breeder, whom she works closely with. She was quick to blame anyone but herself. We tried reasoning with her, but nothing.

On fathers day, 2009, he was put to sleep. Only three days after his initial diagnosis. He was eleven months old.

Well after many rude phone calls from her, and many emails. I tried to be nice and work things out with her. We didn't want a replacement cat due to the fact it could be sick too. We were out over 1200. We wanted all our money back. There is no amount of money that could heal the pain myself and my family was in. He was such a sweet boy.

Well weeks later she sent me a email telling me she would not give us our money back but offered us a upgrade kitten. A female exotic shorthair, or longhair with breeding rights of our choice. She said she had a couple litters due soon.

Well the kittens came and we get a email, after I initiated the contact, saying the kittens were all dead. There were none to give me. However, her website shows different. HMMM????

Anyways, I emailed her asking for one that is on her website as available, and she says "its a show quality kitten" therefore not a comparable replacement. After much research I learned that kitten is NOT show quality. Her nose is too low and her ears are too big. Why did she lie?

In the midst of my research I learned that she also screwed over someone else. Another lady paid for a kitten and just as the kitten was to be shipped, kris says "oh the kitten has ringworm, is that a problem?" Um yeah, thats a problem. So the lady says I can't take the kitten into my home so please refund my money. Well Kris says "sorry, we have no warranty against ringworm, so there will be no refund." This lady was out a kitten and 1200.

This woman is horrible. She is a scam artist and runs a kitty mill. There are many diseases in her cattery and no one should ever have to go through what my family went through.

Seriously get educated people!

AUTHOR: Kris - (USA)

I have had 2 complaints in the 10+ years that I bred Persians. Yes I gave you a free kitten and you were fully aware of his eye issue. I even gave you my vet's ph# and called my vet giving them my authorization to speak to you about this kitten's vet visits. All of this you left out in your complaint. My vet diagnosed that this kitten had a reaction to his vaccine and contracted the calici virus. He was under treatment for 2 weeks and my vet said that after his treatment was completed he would no longer be contagious. On his follow up visit the vet said that he was very much improved and should have a full recovery of his prominent 3rd eye.

You mentioned in your complaint that one of your cats broke out with a herpes eye ulcer. Well that isn't the eye issue that the kitten you received from me had prior to me giving him to you????

Cat buyers need to get educated about the FIP virus! 70% of the feline cat population carries the Corona Virus. When the Corona Virus mutates it turns into the FIP Virus. Vets and cat genetic researchers don't know the exact cause of why this virus mutates in about 1out of every 100 cats? They do say that stress could be a factor. So changes to a kitten's environment, new introductions to other cats that have established territory, new human companions, diet changes even a different water source can all be contributing factors of stress for a kitten.

You have more cats then I do, in your own words you said, " my house has been taken over by my cats ". After I had already given you this kitten you told me that you never let people over because of the obvious conditions that your cats have created in your home. I regret ever giving you this kitten and I am truly concerned for his well being as well as your other cats/kittens!

The woman named Amanda from the complaint filed in 2009 had never been in my home. She wanted to meet half way to pick up her kitten. She completely committed slander by making her statements that my home is full of sick cats? But you have been in my home and you know that the conditions are clean if not impecable! I also showed you my male stud, other females and several kittens all were is great condition!!!

Cat owners need to get educated about the FIP virus! Breeders can not change the fact that the corona virus has inundated the cat population nor can we predict whether or not a cat will have the corona virus mutate and turn into FIP. This is the risk that we all have to take when becoming a cat owner. You may have not had any issues before but you also had less cats then. Since I've know you you have accumulated 4 more cats then you had already. And again in your own words you stated " I hope to have about 15 cats in the near future ". In which I informed you that that exceeded the allowed # of pets allowed in our county. The more cats you have the higher your odds will go up to have issues.

Shame on you Jeanne Merola of Puyallup, Wa. Shame on you for trying to paint a very misleading and absolutely incorrect picture of me and my breeding program!!!

Seriously, get educated people!!!

I have had 2 complaints in the 10+yrs that I bred Persians. Yes I gave you a free kitten and you were fully aware of his eye issue and I even gave you my Vet's ph # and called the vet to give my authorization for them to speak with you. The Vet said that he had a reaction to his vaccine and contracted the calici virus. He was under treatment and had been for 2 wks in which my Vet said that he would no longer be contagious and you had been told of all of this!

So one of your other cats gets herpes, well that isn't what the kitten you received from me had. Herpes is something that your other cat contracted at birth from his mother more then likely, so there is no correlation these two eye issues.

Get educated about FIP, 80% of the feline population carries the corona virus. When the corona virus mutates (and vets and cat genetic reseachers don't know why) it then turns into the FIP virus which has no cure nor any preventative treatments. The researches do say that stress may play a part in it. So changes to a kitten's environment, new introduction to other cat's that have established territory, new human companions, diet changes etc. all can be contributing factors to strees for a kitten. You have more cats then I and your own words were "my house has been taken over". You also mentioned (after I had already given you the kitten), that you never let people over because of the poor condition your cats have created in your home??? I regret ever giving you a kitten, I feel that you are not a resposible pet owner and I'm sure that any stress or health issues your cats are having is clearly related to the conditions that your cats live in!

The complaint from the women in 2009 had never been in my home, so she was completely commiting slander stating that my home was full of muliple sick cats, she went on to tell many complete lies!!! But you have been in my home and you know that the conditions are clean if not immaculate. I also showed you my male stud, other females and several kittens. You know that they were all in good condition!

Cat owners need to get educated about the FIP virus! Us breeders can not stange the fact that this corona virus has inundated the cat population nor can we predict whether or not a cat will have the corona virus mutate and turn into the FIP virus. Since I've known you you have accumulated 4 more cats then the ones you already had, and again in your own words you stated "I hope to have about 15 cats in the near future". Distraught cat owner

AUTHOR: anonymous - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, November 03, 2016

Be aware. This woman is selling sick cats. My daughter and I had been looking for an exotic shorthair for sometime. Kris Coria is the breeder and notified me that she had a kitten that she could not sell because the kitten had an allergic reaction to his vaccines and his third eyelid was showing. After we brought him home we thought something more was going on so we took him to a specialist. Come to find out he has herpes. I have other cats in my home that have never had any health issues. Since we brought the "free" kitten home all my cats have become sick with this virus. It gets worse from here on in. Last week my daughter's cat was diagnosed with FIP. We have spent over $2000 in vet bills and can now lose our sweet cat that has always been healthy. I now have to have all my cats tested. When I contacted Kris she blamed me for having multiple cats in my household. This woman should not be breeding cats and should be shut down. Her name is Kris Coria and she lives in Spanaway Washington. Buyers Beware! This has been one horrific and hearbreaking experience and I don't want anyone else to go throught this.

Completely False Accusations from a Disgruntle Customer

AUTHOR: Wow Factors Persians - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, September 21, 2009

Beware of vengeful, lying people. I sold a cat in perfect health to this woman named Amanda. Two months after this cat was in her home, she contacted me and wanted me to pay for her Vet bill of over $150 for ear-mites. Ridicules!!!

Then a few weeks later she contacted me in hysterics stating that I sold her a diseased cat and that she wanted a full refund of the purchase back. I talked with her Vet and her Vet stated that the cat did contract the virus Fip. I asked the Vet in she could give a definite opinion of when this cat contracted the virus? The Vet said that she could not!

The contract between Amanda and myself states that I do not give cash refunds under any circumstances. The contract also states that I guarantee against genetic disorders, not viruses, and that if a genetic disorder is found buy a Vet, I would give a re-placement kitten of similar value.

It's also important to state that Amanda has other cats, some of which are indoor/outdoor. I felt bad about this situation, this cat was not of my breeding and I didn't know enough of his background, so due to this I agreed to offer her a replacement kitten.

Amanda has become inpatient and unreasonable. Demanding that she wants an Exotic short-hair female as her re-placement kitten. I told her that this was not a cat of similar value. She constantly e-mails me demanding her kitten, and telling me that she will be taking this to court.

A kitten of re-placement status has not become available. She's seen kittens available on my web-site, but they can only be sold as pets without breeding rights in the Pacific Northwest region, due to a contractual agreement I have with the original breeder of the Sire of these litters.

Amanda has gone so far as to have her sister contact my web-site acting as a interested customer to find out details of these available kittens.

Again beware of people who will cause you as much grief as they can if they don't get their way.

And to other breeders out there, may you never come in contact with this woman!!!
