I was searching online for a proper marketing company and i found wpromote.

I spoke to a customer service rep by the name of "Jamae Fraser". She went on about how wpromote was a fortune 500 company and their Social Boost and Quick List options are one of the best on the internet. I signed up for the Quick List option, which sounded awesome at the time, but after about weeks of it I realized  that Social Boost was simply an option that you can individually go to facebook.com and do it on your own. Instead they try to act like their company has a individual seo or ppc campaign of their own. They also use the Quick List option that you can go on google adwords and do yourself. The customer service reps have lack of knowledge of marketing other than what they're required to tell you.

My reason for saying that is because the quick list option was not able to be used on my website for content reason, which I did not understand, because every other company was able to. When I called the social boost rep to ask if I can switch it over, after I added even more content, he told me that they were simply not going to do it for me. He also told me he wouldn't buy anything from my website if he went there, and I am not going to make any sales with it.  He is the specific customer service rep for that option with the  number: Social boost contact: 1.800.514.9469. A couple days later I called to cancel my service. Not only did I not make ANY traffic, I did not make sale either, from them! They didn't offer to give my money back, I just have this month left until its cancel. I wanted to simply cancel my service, and just get my money back.

A good marketing company is (((competitor's name redacted))), they're who I am with, and they made me sales overnight.

I sell Ipads, unlocked phones, and many other electronic items. I make sales everyday from other marketing companies. I had only 2 ad posted on facebook all day long targeted to the people who are interested in my specific category. for $297 a month. RIP OFF.

sorry, allowing you to give a competitors name would instigate others to just file against their competition, to only come back later to suggest their company, ..plus, if you post a competitors name more than likely they will show up on search engines as a Rip-off! - - your comments on this policy are welcome. Not Working and Rip Off are very different things

AUTHOR: Wpromote Customer Support - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, September 27, 2011
I would like to first off address the fact that you are upset with our service, to which myself and my team are sorry to hear.  I would like to take this chance to address this on behalf of our company - I hope that I address everything that you took the time to write about.

I will address each of the stated issues in the order they are mentioned:

1)  If Jamae had stated that we are a fortune 500 company, then that was certainly a mistake.  Wpromote is an Inc. 500 / 5000 company for 6 consecutive years which is amazing, but vastly different.

2)  We do believe that SocialBoost and QuickList are two of the best Small Business online marketing products on the internet.  Having thousands of clients, being in business for over 10 years and maintaining an A+ BBB rating certainly speaks to the fact that we are not the only ones to see things this way.

3)  No individual or Small Business owner ever needs to hire anyone to do their marketing for them, be it On-line or otherwise.  Our clients who come to us and stay with us (a 96% retention rate) do so because of the value they find in our decisions, strategy and management so that they themselves do not need to do this or have experienced poorer results on their own.

4)  Our customer service reps to their best to have as much knowledge of all aspect of on-line marketing techniques and approaches.  The particular representative mentioned has been with the company for just over 5 weeks (as of today - not sure when this incident occurred)
, and is still learning.  One of the things that we do to make sure that all of our clients or potential clients questions are answered is to escalate a call to someone who may have more knowledge should someone need it.

5)  We don't generally offer to refund money to people whom have participated in a first month special with 30% off of the total services, where all of the proceeds of a potential client are spent on marketing the client's website, and is a direct cost to Wpromote.  The reason that we do this is to offer our part of the management services for "free" to allow a new client the least amount of risk possible to see if this product will work for them.  That is something that we have found is as fair as we can afford.  I do not know who this is, so I have no way to address the issue of traffic.  We are very clear that we are not in the "conversion" business for Small Businesses - but at the very least drive traffic.  If you would contact your customer service rep again or let me know your name / URL I will be happy to personally take the time and look into the traffic that you did or did not receive.

6)  I am glad that you have other marketing companies that are delivering you sales - every day.  I would like to be clear to any potential client reading this - in no way does Wpromote think or state that by signing up for our QuickList or SocialBoost products that you will receive sales at all, let alone on a daily basis.  To my knowledge this is not something that any on-line marketing firm can claim in the realm of $149.00 - $495.00 all inclusive (management and marketing spend) products.

7)  Regarding competition - there are many great competitors out there that are servicing Small Businesses.  I think that we are one of the best, as do many other people, but by no means do we have the market cornered.  I am also always open to learning about or from any competitor that is out that is out there offering a superior product.  We are not threatened by other's success, and we always have more to learn.

At the end of all of this, I am sorry that the Wpromote product(s) did not work for you, and I am genuinely happy that at the very least you have a service provider that is able to deliver you results that within your expectation level.
