I ordered a reclaimed barn wood farm house table with specific dimensions, that this company advertised on their web page. The information on the webpage showed that it could offer the dimensions I wanted. I Ordered the table, the comany repeated back to me several times the dimensions I wanted,and was told that it would take 6 weeks to get. Originally, I wanted it before thanksgiving. I did not receive it until mid December. It actually took around 10 weeks. When the table arrived at my house, I discovered that it was the wrong dimensions.
I contacted the company the same day that I received the table,via email, to complain that they sent a table with incorrect dimensions. Comany responded via email saying that they told us it did not come in the dimensions we ask for. Attached to my table, when I received it, was a packing slip with their letter head on it. On the packing slip was my original order with my original dimensions. Obviously they had the same knowledge of the dimensions that they offered for the table I wanted.
I took a picture of the packing slip that had been taped to my table, and sent it to them via email. They did not respond.
To add further evidence that this company lied, saying that my dimensions for my table were never offered on their website, and claimed that they told me so, I did a javascript command on the specific web page that I ordered it from. I found that the web page had been modified the very next morning, after my first email communication with them about the wrong table dimensions. The web page no longer had the same information on it as it originally did when I ordered the table.
I filed a complaint against the company to the BBB and Attorney General. I emailed the company notifying them that I had done this, and hoped we could come to some kind of resolution. They have not responded to that email as of yet.
I have also filed with the FTC. I did not notify the company of this, yet.
They will not repond to my emails, and I feel they are covering up for their mistake. Not to mention that they have no intention of resolving the matter.
In addition to all of this, when I filed at the BBB, their was a very, very similar complaint that had been filed against the same company in relation to furniture.
I have all the email communications saved, pictures of the packing slip, and a screen capture of the javascript command and the resulting information about the web page modification.
I would like to at least get some of my money back for the table, but even more than that, I would like for them to admit that they have lied, and covered it up.

Finally,we have the video links proving that all of what Our American Heritage Inc. has stated in their rebuttal are lies about us, and these videos prove it! We might add that the Attorney General will NOT even look at a consumer complaint for mediation if they do NOT feel that there is any merit to the complaints, in other words, any truth. If anyone is being "smeared" in all of this, it is our name! Our American Heritage Inc. is defaming our character by all of their lies! Click on the videos, and you decide! Facts are facts! We forgot to put links to the youtube videos that completely, and utterly prove that ALL of Our American Heritage Inc.'s claims are lies! For them to use the word "Extortion" is laughable, it is called "mediation" between the Attorney General, Our American Heritage Inc., and ourselves. As to "smearing" their company, that would be a no! It is not smearing when it is the truth! If anything they are defaming our character by calling us liars. Watch the videos themselves, they are all the proof we need. Decide for yourself.

All the proof we need are in the youtube videos we have posted. Just follow the links, the videos explain everything. Everyone of these claims is false that Our American Heritage Inc. is stating. We might add that although the "mediation" between the AG, Our American Heritage Inc. and ourselves is over, does NOT mean that Our American Heritage Inc. was proven right. It just means they could not agree to our terms. We might also add that they are still under investigation by the AG and the FTC under these government bodies legal powers that are seperate from our complaint. The AG and FTC have their own power to proceed with more serious charges based on this companies business practices.

Mary Wilson ordered at 7 Foot Barn Wood table, this table ONLY comes in 40 inch width as shown on our webpage. When she ordered this by phone she never mentioned that she needed any special width. Table was delivered to her, was signed for. Signature box stated that by signing the person agrees that the product is correct and not damaged in any way. The slip also shows that the table is 7 feet long by 40 inches wide.
We do have a picture on the same webpage of a special one of a kind table for a local special needs person that was made to a 36" width for a wheel chair. All the tables on the webpage show the dimensions available. The table the Wilson's choose ONLY is available in 40" as it states in Black & White in 12 point type. At no time was anything said about a 36" table when Mary placed the order. We sent a reply email that had the 7 Foot x 40" width with the delivery cost to her.
Mary's husband called us the next day after delivery and said this was the wrong table, we told him on te phone and by email that this is what Mary ordered. He then sent us hundreds of pictures that had tables in 36" width from our website (from other makers) and from other websites ? We told him that other tables come in 36" width plus other widths but the table Mary ordered ONLY comes in 40" not 36" and she NEVER said that she needed a 36" width for whatever reason. Next the Wilson's said that the table was supposed to be delivered in 4 weeks. This is just a lie. As stated on our website page, maker required 8 to 9 weeks to make the table. Then the shipper needs 2 to 3 weeks to deliver. This was told to them by phone when they ordered and again by email from the shipper.
In an attempt to extort the delivery fee from us these people lied to the BBB and State Attorney Genernal's office. Please note they didn't want to return the table, but wanted the shipping / delivery money and they wanted to keep the table. When they were faxed a copy of the delivery from the shipper with their signature showing they accepted the table as true and correct the Attorney General's rep said that the Wilson's had provided "different information".
The bottom line is they received the table they ordered, at the time and price we quoted to them by phone and email. They have attemped to smear our company because we refused to let them extort money from us.
As to the supposed changing of the web page, as anyone that developes web sites know you contantly update all your pages. It is a common fact that pages are updated on a continuous basis and this nonsense that we changed the page is total false.

In our original complaint I explain ordering our farm table and its specific dimensions. Susan Herbster, owner of amerheritage.com, has claimed that everything we stated was a lie, and in fact, she has stated that to the Attorney General.
I now have proof thanks to WAYBACK MACHINE, who stores archived web page caches! I found the web page as it appeared at the time we ordered our table. It clearly proves EVERYTHING that we claimed, and DISPROVES her entire rebuttal to the Attorney General!

This only reinforces our advice to never deal with this company! Susan Herbster has gone way out of her way to cover up her lies! She has a serious devious business practice, and has dragged our name through the mud by calling us liars! She needs to be held legally accountable!
