I found this "opportunity" on Franchise Direct under low cost franchises. I requested more information and was flooded with emails from Jay Elliot of www.ncadmats.com. The emails eventually started advertising that the price was going to increase from $300.00 to $400.00 on 04/01/2010 because of shrinking territories.
I did contact Jay Elliot on 03/23/2010. I did speak with Jay and I found it hard to have a decent conversation because he was "at his kid's karate class" and I found it hard to try and discuss business. Jay did tell me that he had 62 people under him and that Oklahoma, where I live, did not have anyone covering the territory.
Due to the distraction in the background, I told him that I would contact him later that evening around 10 p.m. EST. As my luck would have it, my youngest son broke his arm and I had to take him to the ER. I didn't call Jay as I said I would and then he called me, but there was no answer. Well, no joke..I was at the hospital. Today, I got an email from Jay stating that the Oklahoma City territory was sold today. Interesting, because I had just talked to Jay the evening before and all of Oklahoma was open? It's just amazing how someone over not even a 24 hour period took the OKC territory? I've been looking at this for several weeks. So here's the reason I'm here reporting this. See the next paragraph.
This is a copy of the email I received from Jay today.
Robert, I tried to call you last night a little after 10p.m. my time....no answer. I am a guy who ALWAYS does what he says he will do. I really have a pet peave about people who do not do what they say they will do. I spoke with you instead of watching my kids karate class. The least you can do is show a little common courtesy and call when you say you will call. If you are serious about exploring this opportunity please set a time to talk with me. If you are not serious please either unsubscribe yourself off my e-mail blast list or send me a note to take you off the list. I replied back stating that I wasn't sure it I wanted to do business with someone who would fire off an email like the above without even trying to find out why I didn't call or answer. I just got a smirk reply. I blocked him from sending me anymore emails. I think you should consider several times before making any commitments and getting involved with this guy.
This guy is a typical salesman. Very rude and ruthless.

Robert Must Dislike Sales People

Hi, I know some about AdMats/ AdMenus and would like to tell people that Robert seems to form his opinion about Jay to soon. I am only guessing but it sounded like Robert possibly called Jay after business hours.
I joined AdMats/ AdMenus about a year ago and Jay was very professional when we spoke. I unfortunately did nothing with my new business, due to lack of money.
I received a good amount of emails before and after joining AdMats/AdMenus.
I believe that Robert should have expected to receive emails from Jay since he obviously asked for more information on the website Franchise Direct. He always had an option to unsubscribe from any more emails being sent to him.
Maybe if he had been a little more professional in his own handling of the situation he would have found out that Jay is a business man and that he is a professional. He had the right to sell his business to other people in Oklahoma or anywhere else.
I only wish that I could have been one of those who has succeeded with his opportunity.

Most of what the gentleman from Broken Arrow wrote is true. However, I was not rude or disrespectful in any way. Nor was he deceived, ripped off or pressured in any way. I am a person does do what he says he will do. I did speak with him instead of watching my 6 year old son's karate class. We did have a plan to speak at 10p.m. that evening. He never called or e-mailed that evening or the next day. How was I to know his child broke his arm? Once I wrote him and he wrote me back about his son's arm, I responded with sympathy and empathy because my son broke his arm about a year ago. I wished his son all the best recovery.
As far as the Oklahoma City territory of my business opportunity being sold the next day after the gentleman from Broken Arrow did not call me, it simply did sell ( feel free to call me if you would like to talk to the new gentleman from Oklahoma City to verify). This had no bearing on the gentleman from Broken Arrow because our business opportunity territories are 60 mile from a persons home in all directions. Broken Arrow is 154 miles from Oklahoma City. The business opportunity price did increase from $300 to $400 due to overwhelming demand and shrinking territories.
Once again, I did not deceive this man from Broken Arrow. I did not rip him or anyone else off and my responses were not "smirk" or even sarcastic.
I did nothing "rude or ruthless" to this guy. Clearly he would rather purchase a business opportunity from someone that does not do what he says he is going to do. I apologize that I am not that guy. Please call me anytime if you would like real references of people who know the kind of guy I am and who have had success with the Admats/Admenus business opportunity.
The gentleman from Broken Arrow did not have a legitimate reason to post this Ripoff Report complaint.
