Warned that they were selling counterfeit Louis Vuitton and Coach handbags, I was ignored and also told to mind my own business. They are ripping people off. All 3 Louis Vuitton current auctions are counterfeit bags. It appears that they don't care and their greed is letting them steal people's money.

Website claims that it is safe to purchase from, but yet stores are unwilling to remove counterfeit handbag auctions.

I HAVE SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE, NICE TRY!

AUTHOR: Heystacey - (U.S.A.)

My career specializes in this type of thing! I DO HAVE SPECIALIZED knowledge. IN ANY BUSINESS, you DON'T list items as authentic if you're not sure. Do you think it's just a free-for-all and that you can list whatever you want and say it's the real deal without confirming it first? Through proxibid and Ebay, you're not even allowed to use the terms "authentic" and "handbag" in the same sentence if you're not completely sure. If you're going to sell something as real, then YOU BETTER KNOW IT! Selling counterfeit items is FRAUD! ILLEGAL!!!

Imagine if OTHER companies (car industry, tech industry, pharmaceuticals . . . ) were allowed to continue selling items as authentic without knowing for sure. How dangerous would that be?!?!?!

Things to look for in fake handbags: Poor quality stitching, synthetic leather, altered logos, internal and external flaws. Genuine bags are also heavier, as they are real leather, NOT vinyl. I have seen LV bags attempted as "authentic" when the vinyl has clear cracks and the cheap fabric is showing through the wearing of the handles.

Authenticity is paramount. Especially if you want to keep customers happy and continuing to patronize you! You can't keep using the good ole "non-profit" as an excuse to do this to people! People want to help good causes, but not when they feel like they're getting ripped off in the process. They will just go somewhere else! There are plenty of HONEST non-profits that will be happy to use their used items and philanthropy.

Sorry, but your explanation is unprofessional an juvenile.

#1 Consumer Suggestion

How do you know they are counterfeit?

AUTHOR: Vince - (U.S.A.)

I'm curious as to why you are sure the bags are counterfeit. It seems likely that the bags were donated and they would have no way of knowing whether or not they were counterfeit.

If you have some specialized knowledge that could prove beyond doubt that the bags were not made by the listed manufacturers then they should listen to you. But you need to tell them why, not just "I think they are counterfeit, so they are."
