Wyndham Professionals Gouging Interest Rate Harrassment Salem New Hampshire

I have a student loan that Wyndham Professionals purchased from Fanny Mae. Initally my balance was $13,000. They've had my note for about 2 years now and the balance is over $20,000.

At 42% interest!!!!! Is that legal? Really?

They would call me 3-4 times a day, send e-mails and have me called at work. I was told by them that they would take a payment of $230.00 per month (no less) and it had to be automatically deducted from my bank account (no other option for payment). I was in no position then and am still not in a position to make a payment in that amount. I tried for awhile to make the payment and succeeded for about 6 months (which never brought the balance down) eventually, if the money wasn't in my bank account, of course I was hit with overdraft charges as well.

I can't tell you how many times this company has had me in tears over this issue.
