Friend who is 72 yrs old, hard of hearing, has suffered several strokes and had triple bypass surgery has been pressured into signing contract for timeshare he told the salespeople he could not afford.  He lives on $1276 per month.  He is not computer literate and does not comprehend legal jargon.  Two women approached him (Sept 6, 2013) on the street offering $125 to come listen to the presentation.  He was lonely and eager to earn extra $125.

He later shared what happened with a friend who helped him return to the Branson Fairfield office for Wydnham Timeshare Resorts.  Together they explained he had no money, offered to return the $125, just needed out of contract.  Scott Manis told them to go home and wait, he'd see what he could do.  He did as he was told.  This was nothing but a stall tactic.

Now he is told that he cannot back out of contract.  He owes money, and that collectors will first come and then there will be a lawsuit.  He is very scared and stressed.  No one will help him.  Every one we have contacted wants money to help, he has no extra money!  He canceled his debit card from which they would have drawn payments.  He is beginning to receive harassing phone callsA bout the first $600.

Is is there anything that can be done to help him?  He was told the condo required $600 downpayment.  He told them all from the start that he had no money.  He was assured by Scott Manis that he didn't need any, he just needed to sign and then he'd have all these perks and great vacations to share with friends.  He did not understand.  How can businesses prey on poor ignorant seniors?  Is there anything you can do to help him?

It appears he completed a credit application.  He received a letter weeks later saying his credit was not approved and he would not receive extra perks.  But then they did something different and now suddenly he owes money for a timeshare condo he did not realize he was buying.  Can anyone help him???  He is confused and scared.

I am posting his name below... He is unable to use a computer so not sure what is best for you in contacting him?

What he did was not a meeting of minds or any other defination of contact.  File a lawsuit oin small claims.  You must serve the agent for service on the Secratary of State listing.  Also tell WYN your filing a lawsuit and will probably give the $$ back.
