Wyndham Club Wyndham Plus Wyndham/RCI have increased the amount of Points needed for a Week Vacations! Internet

Wyndham scam!!!! We purchased approximately 500,000 points from Club Wyndham Plus. I say approximately because of the breakdown of the points into even years and odd years it averages 500,000 points each year.

We thought we were getting a good deal in the beginning because we could exchange our points to RCI. Wyndham new our priority was 4 weeks per year in Hawaii so convinced us that with the number of points we purchased through Wyndham, we could exchange to RCI and get our 4 weeks per year. Our deed is in Hawaii so they said we would always get priority.

The first three years worked out nicely by going through RCI. We could get a week for 105,000 points at a beautiful condo and therefore use four weeks every year equaling 420,000 points. As of this year 2011, Wyndham has worked out something with RCI that has changed the points needed to get a resort. For example; to get a 1 bedroom unit it now takes 144,000 points for one week and if you want a 2 bedroom it now takes 224000 points for one week at the resort we usually go to. They increased the points from what was originally agreed to.

When you deal with Wyndham, they make all kinds of promises and the paper work is overwhelming. In the fine print it basically says they can change the terms of the agreement whenever they want. So BEWARE, what you think you are getting in the beginning will change! Yes, the condo's we have stayed at are beautiful but in the end it will cost you more and more with their increase in maintenance fee's and the increase in points needed to get your weeks. We new that the maintenance fee's would increase but had no idea they would change the point system.

To make a long story short, the point system has changed and now our 4 weeks have been reduced to 3 weeks since it takes more points per week.
