Wyotechs' sole purpose is to get the students money, education and job placement comes way after.

I attended the Information Technology program(now cancelled) with the idea that I would have a start in that field with plenty of room to learn more and make a decent start at a career.

This couldn't be farther from the truth of what happened. Upon halfway completing the program, they announced that they had now learned that getting recruiters(companies/business) for job placement fairs etc. was different than the automotive industry. The administrator then reassured us that there will be some form of job fair and placment services so I stayed in the program.

The only form of job placement services that ever arose was almost a year after graduation in the form of referrals that they just grabbed off Internet job sites and put on their letter head. All of these job postions were either from companies/business' hundreds of miles away offering less than adequate wages, mostly minimum wage, or way beyond the scope of what we were trained for.

Shortly after they had announced that the IT program was being cancelled and they would perform what they termed a "teach out" B

Basically this was just to hurry the remaining IT students through the program and wipe their hands of the whole thing. The remaining groups, at different stages of the program were huddled together in one class room to finish. Slowly teaching aids like screen projectors, tables were taken to the other programs/classes, not IT.

Even the remaining IT instructors offices were moved to this one room.

I know of only one student that got hired in the field they trained for at Wyotech. Last I heard, nobody had found a job yet several years after graduation and all had confirmed that Wyotech had done nothing to help with job placement.

One student even applied for a postion in Wyotechs 'computer services' shortly before graduation, but was turned down. Imagine that.

The administrators and president etc. were constantly coming in and making us remove cabling and computer equipment because it made the place looked cluttered and unorganized to investors. Well, it was an technical oriented program and we can' have network cable showing in the class rooms?

I am now working back at the job I was previously before moving my family to Laramie, Wy to attend Wyotech. A fast food restaraunt. I would love to hear from other graduates on their experiences with the IT program.

In summary, Wyotech is only looking for a quick buck in the education inustry and not concerned with the sucess or even moderate sustainability of their students.
