I signed up for a free trial on yahoo personals. They were not suppose to charged me. 6 months later i see that there was a check on hold on my bank which is called wachovia. I called them up and htey told me that couldnt do anything about it. That since i have a debit they couldnt stop it evne though i did not allow the payment to go throw. That payment was going through without my consent.

I called yahoo personals again, and they told me that supposely they emailed me and tried telling me that my monthly payments were not going through. I told them i wasnt suppose to pay anything and i asked them why they waited for 6 months to try chragin me instead of calling me.

This is an abuse. I call this abuse and fraud, because i never allowed yahoo personals to charged me for anything. because i never applied for no service beside the free profile. Plus my bank charged me 60 dollars for overdraft. I told my bank it was not my fault and that since i called them they should of put a stop on that. Since i did not have enough money on my account my bank charged me 60 dollars and now i have minus on my account because yahoo personals.

Dealing with Dating websites

When dealing with these websites do not use a personal bank card. Purchase a prepaid card this way these companies don't have access to your personal banking information. If you want to keep the service you will have to supply them with another prepaid card. It is a hassle but well worth the effort in saving your personal finances.

When signing up for your free trial you did put in a credit card number and when doing that, you should have read that after the trial your account will be charged the normal monthly fee.

READ! And if you put in a credit card number and then click that you have read the terms you were in fact giving them permission, you just failed to read what you were giving them permission for! duh!
