Yankee Tech Solutions I was completing work on my computer and this huge sign flashed in front of me stating a critical error has occurred and I could not continue using my computer until I called this number to get the situation resolved. This company stated that someone was trying to hack into my computer and they could fix it for a small fee of $249.99 . Of course I was scared and didn't know what to do and I could not get this flashing message off of my computer. So I gave them the money to fix the problem. Well today I get a Restricted call from the same company using a different name but I wasn't quick enough to get the name they used and they stated their company was going out of business and they had to refund me my money. The only way I could get my money back was to give them my credit card # or bank account #. I told them I was not comfortable doing such a thing and they could send me a check. I even asked to speak with the manager who did not help at all. They stated you could only get a check for $1,000 because it was a business check. They had me on the phone for a long period of time and were insistent upon getting my bank account number or bank card number. I told them I did this once and I was not doing it again. They got really nasty and said keep your money and hung up on them. It sure felt like a scam to me. Internet

On January 8, 2016 I was on my computer and this flashing sign appeared in large letters stating that I needed to call this phone number immediately - that there was a problem with my computer. I kept trying to close it out but nothing happened. I finally called the number and they stated someone was hacking into my computer and that they could provide me with protection for a small fee of $249.99 and this was technical support for a lifetime.
We not knowing what to do or time to research it, I did it. They called me back a few days later and everything seemed to be ok. No further problems. Today 5/12/17 I get a Restricted call on my phone (foreign speaking person) stating the company is going out of business and they had to issue me a refund.
The only way to do this was to give them my bankcard # and information or checking account information. I stated that all they had to do was cut me a check. They said no they could not, only checks of $1000.00 could be issued from their company.
They were so insistent that I give them this information and were really getting mad at me but I would not give it up. I asked for the manager but he was of no help. Finally I hung up without giving them information. During the conversation they gave me a # to put in my computer so they could remote into my computer.
I feel very afraid that they can get into my personal information and now that I pissed them off, it is very scary. I do not want this to happen to someone else.
