On August 25th, 2015 I ordered 3,325 hand written letters from Yellow Letters Complete. These letters were to be a hand written style font on company letter head to a proven, profitable list: high equity and free and clear owners.

Out of 3,325 letters Yellow Letters Complete claims they mailed, we received a total of 7 phone calls! That is less than a ¼ of 1 percent response rate, but their website advertises hand written letters getting between 5% and 15% response rate. This is right on their website for all to see. If you are in the real estate industry and have mailed this list, you will know right away there is something seriously wrong with the ratio of phone calls to letters ordered.

I have gotten a better response rate from the SAME list with postcards, which historically never perform as well as a letter. I have also asked several other people (about half a dozen) in this industry (people who have also mailed this same list) and they all agreed that something is seriously wrong with the response rate, meaning they doubt 3,325 letters were actually mailed.

I spoke with the owner, and the only ‘proof’ he gave me for sending out these letters was a receipt from the post office that had a different amount of postage stamps purchased than the amount of letters I ordered! He sent me this receipt on 10/01/2015 and the total pieces of postage stamps ordered (per the invoice) was 3,554. My order had 3,325 letters, so I can’t know what he actually ordered for my specific order, nor can he prove those postage pieces were for my order.

The owner Zach has been unhelpful and refuses to refund any of the money even though he can’t prove he mailed all the letters I ordered and the response indicates something was done wrong from Yellow Letters Complete or all of the letters were not mailed. None of the documents he has shared with me prove he mailed my entire order. Doing business with Yellow Letters Complete has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing.

Problem has been handled!

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, December 16, 2015

PLEASE READ THIS FIRST: I spent about an hour on the phone with the business owner today, and we resolved the issue. Zach handled it in a way I thought was very fair to both sides. I would completely remove this report, but ripoff report does not let you remove a report once you write one, which is ridiculous. At this point, after speaking extensively w/ Zach, I would feel comfortable recommending this company.

Correction on my last rebuttal

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, December 16, 2015

To my surprise, I found Zach told the truth on something. Sunday, my wife and I went to a restaruant and had bad food coupled with lousy service so I did give them a 1 star review, as many other people have.

What should be noted is that I have (on Facebook) reviewed 11 places including Yellow letters complete, and all but 3 of those reviews have been 5 stars. Zach, any reason you did not point that out our are you trying to use character assasination to justify your action?

Response to the owners rebuttal

AUTHOR: - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, December 16, 2015

Zach, you are lying. Let's try to address your lies and state the truth here:

First off, I did call the post office. Please call up there to confirm.

Secondly, you gave me the feedback on my letter AFTER you printed and mailed it as an excuse as to why I only got 1/4 of 1% response rate. You never one time gave me this feedback as we were going through the draft process.

Thirdly, I do know people using this exact list from this exact provider. I never told you I did not.

Fourthly, you have shown NO evidence that you mailed my list. You showed me a receipt that did not have the same quantitiy of letters I ordered, those could have been anybodys postage pieces.

Fifth, I NEVER one time agreed with you that you sent the letters. Not once, so please be honest about that Zach.

Sixth, which company did I post a negative review about the day before yours? Can you document this? You can't because, once again, you are lying.

I am posting negative reviews about you and will continue to because I don't want peoople to get ripped off by you like I was.

I also want to point out something: I posted a negative review on Facebook about yellow letters complete. Literally, 3 hours later 2 other people came on and posted 5 star reviews. Before my post, it was October of 2014 since anybody had posted a review on facebook about this company. Zach, come on, do you think people won't catch that? One of the posters also did the same thing on google to dry and dilute my reviews about his company.

I am trying not to be personal here Zach, but your lies are sickening. Knowing the truth like I do and comparing that with your responses confirms in my mind that you stole from me.

Response to Tyler Weitz

AUTHOR: Yellow Letters Complete - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 16, 2015

We gave Tyler Weitz several pieces of documentation supporting that we mailed his letters including our internal work logs and a receipt from the post office. We also gave Tyler Weitz the contact information for the post office we used to mail his letters so he could verify we had mailed them. Tyler Weitz chose not to call the post office and on 10/5/15 Tyler Weitz told us he agreed we had done the work. Then Tyler Weitz initiated a chargeback of the transaction and the credit card company dismissed the chargeback, as the evidence supports that we mailed his letters. After losing his attempt to chargeback the transaction, Tyler Weitz then chose to post several negative reviews about our company online. Additional details are as follows:

Tyler Weitz ordered a batch of letters from our organization. He provided us with his mailing list and also his customized verbiage to use in preparation of his mailer. We prepared Tyler’s letters and mailed the letters out on his behalf using the data and letter verbiage Tyler provided to us. Tyler asked us for feedback on his mail piece prior to us mailing the letters, and we advised Tyler that letters in a format similar to his with small font and several paragraphs are usually not effective. Tyler Weitz disregarded this feedback and chose to continue with his custom mail piece. We did what Tyler asked us to do using the information Tyler provided to us, and Tyler approved his custom mail piece before we mailed out the letters.

While it is unfortunate that Tyler did not receive the volume of responses he anticipated, part of the risk of using an untested custom letter as Tyler did (and disregarding the feedback he received on his custom letter prior to mailing it) is not knowing how the custom message will resonate with the target audience. Tyler Weitz was responsible for the accuracy of the list he provided to us and also the effectiveness of the verbiage he provided to us. I asked Tyler how many other people were marketing to the same names he was using on his mailing list (as this can impact the response rate) and Tyler did not know.

We have given Tyler Weitz documentation that supports the work we did for him including a receipt from the post office, our internal work logs showing all of the letters we produced and mailed for Tyler, and also the contact information of the postmaster at the post office we used to mail his letters. We informed Tyler that the receipt for the post office was for a quantity larger than just his campaign because we had combined letters for another campaign with his letters. On 10/5/15 Tyler told us we had given him enough information that he knew we had mailed out the letters. He also stated that he would not be calling the postmaster to verify the letters we mailed on his behalf.

Tyler Weitz then initiated a chargeback of the transaction through his credit card. We submitted to the credit card company the documentation supporting the work we had done on Tyler's behalf. The credit card company reviewed the evidence documenting the work we had done for Tyler and then sided with our organization.

After losing his attempt to chargeback the funds, Tyler Weitz left a message for me on the afternoon of 12/14/15, and I returned his call later that afternoon. Tyler did not answer when I called him and also did not return my call. Tyler Weitz then proceeded to post negative comments about our organization on social media. It should be noted that Tyler Weitz posted at least one negative review about another company the day prior to posting negative feedback about our organization.
