YMCA, Pikes Peak Chapter, Heather Graves Child Care, identity theft, privacy violation and billed fees for it Colorado Springs Colorado

I have in multiple written attempts, tried to resolve a billing issue with the Child Care Services of the Pikes Peak YMCA. I have wasted hours researching, reviewing documents, and extracting information from the YMCA to resolve what really is a simple matter.

I had a credit card number stolen. In this day and age ID theft should be familiar to most. The YMCA had an auto charge (and insisted on this method of payment ONLY up front) to the stolen credit card number. When the account was changed, they could not charge a monthly charge. Needless to say, there was a mountain of scrambling over charges that where not ours. Ironically, the ONLY organization that has issue was the Pikes Peak YMCA. The ONLY organization that insisted on fees for the situation was the Pikes Peak YMCA and Heather Graves. A dozen other business, all of which got paid, after the same delay had no issues with the process.

The YMCA sent a nasty-gram in the mail that we owed them money. I sent a bank check (affirmed funds) from my credit union directly to there main office where their Child Care Services are listed as residing on their website:

Heather Graves, the child services operation director, has continously denied recieving the check, and has threatened to terminate our children's after school child care. I have confirmed the bank check has been sent, I have confirmed it arrived at the YMCA on the date expected, and via a phone message from membership services on my wife's cell phone confirmed someone at the YMCA has recieved the payment, yet Mrs. Graves cannot seem to get this accomplished, and she works there, and is allegedly 'directs' the childcare services.

We withdrew our children after Heather Graves 'invited' us to leave via e-mail as of 3 weeks into the next billing period following the period paid for via bank issued check. Yet we are still recieving bills for the entire period plus fees for denied charges to the stolen card account number. We have assumed costs of our own because of their billing and internal communication issues at the YMCA, and have billed the YMCA accordingly.

DO NOT let these clowns have access to your personal information, or any financial information. There is little doubt they will not regard it with any sort of reasonable security. They also care little about providing services, just collecting their systematically money due. Electronically, all the better because they are in control of your accounts. Ironically, the YMCA piggy backs these programs in public school facilities, so you are pulled into trusting them as you would trust the schools to take care of your kids. Your tax money hard at work providing overhead for their gain.
