I completely concur with the other person who wrote a report about YouFit.  They are unscrupulous rip-off artists who prey on their customers and will not allow you to cancel your contract with them.  I followed the instructions to cancel my contract to a "T", and I was still being charged for club dues several months later.  Fortunately for me, I had my dues charged directly to a credit card - rather than having them taken directly out of my bank account like YouFit pressured me to do when I signed up - or I would probably still be charged for dues each month. Long story short, I had a stop payment put on my credit card.  Shortly thereafter, I started getting harrassing letters and phone calls from a pseudo-attorney group in Utah called Aldous and Associates attempting to collect the money that I "owed" YouFit for club dues.  Supposedly, I owed $155 for 3 months of dues + interest.  The dues were $16.95 monthly, so you do the math.  I wrote to and called Aldous and Associates and asked for a breakdown of the charges I "owed" and to tell them I was disputing YouFit's charges.  The person I spoke with on the phone was totally incompetent and could not explain anything to me.  He said that they would do an investigation on their end and would let me know their findings.  Aldous called back several days later and told me that YouFit's claim was valid and that I owed $155 - still with absolutely no explanation of the charges.  They also said that if I didn't pay, that there would be a report put on my credit for non-payment.  I felt that I was backed into a corner at this point, so I paid them the $155 after unsuccessfully trying to negotiate a lesser amount.  Threats, intimidation, and unscrupulous behavior - yup, that's YouFit.  Please think twice before you sign one of their contracts.

Thanks for asking your question. As I said in my previous post, I followed the instructions to cancel to the letter, which means that I sent in the $25 cancellation fee along with a letter expressing my wish to cancel my membership. You're right - it does sound pretty straightforward. That's exactly what I thought when I signed up. Unfortunately, it is not what it appears and YouFit tries to "get you" when you cancel and you have no recourse. Their law firm threatens you until you are forced to give in and pay them. I was not going to spend the money to get an attorney of my own because that would have cost even more, so I was stuck. I hope that when you decide to cancel that their membership agreement, you find everything to be "straightforward". I will be very surprised if you do. As for cancelling within 3 days of signing the contract, that wasn't an option because I used my membership several times a week for almost a year.

Processing Fee?

i signed up there a few months ago and it seems like its pretty easy to cancel to me. its only a 10 day notice and only $25 bucks. most gyms are alot more expensive. also i was reading through my agreement and saw that if you dont agree with anything in there you actually have 3 days to cancel with a full refund. did you pay the $25 because if not the agreement is obviously not cancelled.
