Zagg Shady Warranty Salt Lake City Utah

 Buyer Beware!  I bought a new cell phone from Bestbuy and was coached to put a protective film on the face.  The sales person sold me a Zagg film and installed it on the phone.  About a month later, the film started to come off and I called Bestbuy and they told me the Zagg product has a lifetime warranty.  I went on their web site and registered my shield and ordered a replacement.  I got it, put it on and threw away the bad shield.  Today, I get a E Mail 55 days later telling me I have 5 days to mail the defective shield or my credit card will be charged.  I went back on their web site and found their policy under FAQ.  No where was there any warnings that you must return the bad shield.  To further the scam, they post a reason for returning the shield (See Below).

Returning your original product within 60 days of making your replacement request will ensure that your credit or debit card will not be charged the full retail price of the product you are replacing and will keep your product warranty intact.

Additionally, returned invisibleSHIELDs are sent to a recycling facility where they are converted into energy. This process allows the invisibleSHIELD to be just as valuable after it has served it's intended purpose and has been replaced.

I am not upset about the $19.99 because I will pay for my mistakes but not being upfront with their policy with some type of warning instead of buried the policy in FAQ, is deceptive.

So take note consumer world.  Stop doing business with shady companies and tell Bestbuy too.
