Zerochaos Failure to pay proper unemployment claim arlington, Virginia

My wife recently received a letter stating that her unemployment claim filed against zerochaos would not be honored.  She was an assigned employee of zerochaos to one of the big 4 accounting/consulting firms and they ended their relationship two months prior to the end of her assignment.  She was told that because she didn't ask for another assignment with 48 hrs of her last day she violated her contract agreement. 

My wife was an w2 employee for Zerochaos.  She was told that she was "laidoff" by a manager.

Please see the email below that shows she asked a Zerochaos manager as to unemployment benefits 48 hrs prior to her last day . Why didn't this manager clearly advise my wife to read her employment contract or direct to another department.

You would need to file with the state. They make the decision regarding eligibility.
