Zillow Zillow Giving False and Very Low Estimate Online Regarding My Home Value, Hurting Us Financially Internet

*Consumer Suggestion: It is time that Zillow was Regulated

Show customers why they should trust your business over your competitors...

Zillow, the supposed Real Estate online valuation Company, which has no experiense in Real Estate whatsoever, has severely underestimated the value of 23 Oak Grove Road in Brookfield, Ct. by over 60,000 dollars (20+ %) due to their incompetence and lack of correct information on the property. They are directly effecting the ability of the Owners to market their home properly by providing false information to the Public regarding this property.

Whenever the Owner has tried to contact them regarding their false reporting, they deflect any input and refuse to address the facts, even lowering their Zestimate of the property every time the Owner updates the online file Estimate. They are incompetent, arrogant, and plain stupid, but the worst outcome is that they have damaged our investment in the home by proliferating online incorrect information on ours and many other homes as to valuation, configurations and otherwise.

I would like to join any Class Action Law Suit against them in regard to their inept business practices and the damage it has done already to our situation regarding our home value in the Market and countless others. We may even go forward to sue them directly to help correct the situation and set a precedant against them in the Courts.

#1 Consumer Suggestion

It is time that Zillow was Regulated

AUTHOR: Surbiton - ()

I am sympathetic with the complaint described as I also have an imposed Zestimate that is substantially inaccurate, and have encountered the same arrogance from Zillow that they do not correct or delete zestimates. The Zillow CEO went so far to explain that he had a First Amendment Right to publish any valuation he wanted and there was nothing I could do about it. Well he is probably right, but when the CEO of a $1.86Bn Nasdaq listed company takes such an arrogant approach to a reasonable request from a homeowner it is time that our elected representatives took action and imposed some form of regulation to control this nonsense.

My suggestion is simple and based on the DoNotCall system where phone owners can register their number to stop unwanted robocalls from marketing companies. We need a DoNotZestimate website that allows homeowners with erroneous zestimates to opt out and have the zestimate deleted, even though the rest of the public domain information on the home remains.

Zillow have proved that they cannot be trusted to act in a fair minded way that treats homeowners with respect the way they impose inaccurate zestimates, so the time has come for them to be regulated. When 17% of 110 million zestimates are more than 25% incorrect it is a compelling reason for action to be taken to protect homeowners from the misery and financial damage these erroneous zestimates cause.
