I am totally disgusted with my purchase of this timeshare. I paid CASH for this! On several instances we have tried to book accommodations for Palm Canyon and Tahoe Shores Resort. The only reservation we have been able to get has been for the Cancun resort OVER A YEAR AGO!

I have called the reservation line more than 10 times and have not been able to get any kind of reservation for the resorts I wanted on the dates we needed - other than Day Use! We paid cash for the 89 points and it horrible that we cannot enjoy it when we want to. Also, the coupon for Cabo Azul we won, when we obligated ourselves to the contract, every time we call to redeem the coupon to book a reservation at Cabo Azul Resort the weeks we want are never available.

If a person were to go online to Travelocity, Hotels.com or other reservation booking sites a person could book reservations at Pacific Monarch resorts; why is it that a MEMBER cannot get a reservation?

I wish we could get a refund or at least be upgraded to a status where we could be able to use this timeshare. The customer service people are not helpful and all their mantra always is "well this is our most active period of usage for this resort." What kind of crap is this? $6000 down the drain!!!

Selling Timeshare

AUTHOR: R. watson - Palmdale (U.S.A.)

Although since posting this Rip Off report the management of Monarch Grand Vacations did book me at the Cancun Resort and asked me to retract the Rip Off Report I still think that it is not worth the money.

You're not alone

AUTHOR: KP - West Covina (United States of America)

Don't feel like the "Lone Ranger"; you're not alone.  I notice that you think that if you're upgraded you may get better service and opportunities to use your timeshare.  Wrong!  We purchased 156 points and we're having the same issues.  We also had a similar issue with the timeshare usage we supposedly won.  The timeshare that we were able to go to in Palm Springs was a "dump".  That was the beginning of our realization that we were scammed into a bad situation that was very costly.

I would not be as disgusted if it were not for the fact that non-members can go to any particular timeshare website, make a reservation and get any date that they ask for.  I've tried it.  Their explanation is that all timeshares have a specified block of accommodations for members and a specified block of accommodations for non-members.  It just so happens that non-member usage is lower than members.  Yea, right!

I don't encourage anyone to purchase a timeshare.  Save your money and go online, make a reservation to the timeshare you want to go to and be frustration free.  I wish that enough of us could get together and file a class action law suit against these timeshare rip offs.

Me too

AUTHOR: Glenn - Oak Hills (United States of America)

I've been a owner for 10 years, my dues alone are 5 times what non owners pay.  Non owners can get a reservation when ever they want and I'm told they are always booked. I was promised the world when I bought, but nothing was true.  I can't give my time share away either. I'm very frustrated
