Buying a lifetime of vacation with "endless escape" sounds like a dream? It is in fact a nightmare.Reassured by smiling faces and sound explanations we bought into it, under the red color chart with the endless escape bonus. I had considered myself an intelligent person. I asked all the right questions [or so I thought]. They bragged that they were even listed with the American Stock Exchange. That somehow convinced me that they were legitimate and honest. In hind sight I was not as intelligent as I thought. But I am getting an education through all of this. It soon became apparent that they could not accommodate us like they had promised in the sale. Of course the contract did say "upon availability".After enquiring about the availability claus We explained that we were looking for a place to get away for a couple of weekends each month. "Oh that will be easy", they said "you could practically live here except you would have to check out after six days for 24 hours before checking back in." As I said it was becoming more apparent that they could not accommodate us, in other words, they lied! So soon after the second contract had been signed (it was a series of goofs) red lights were finally going off in my mind. I telephoned and followed with a letter of cancellation asking for a refund of my down payment and dues (which was within the time constraints of the second contract as verified by my attorney).
Well, they don't want to fefund my money. I have repoted them to the BBB (as it turns out I'm not the first) but haven't heard anything of it yet.I suppose I will either have to forfeit the funds or go through the stress and cost of suing these theiving liars. Oh, buyer beware!
