My boyfriend had received 4 calls from this number and wondered who it was, so I called it and got a place called Westgate Resorts in Florida. This girl tried to get me to purchase a vacation in Las Vegas for only $189 and all we had to do for it is take a tour for an hour and a half. I told her I was skeptical and that nothing costs $189 for a trip and theres no such thing as a free meal. She than transferred me to the inventory manager who made me a better offer of $109, WHATEVER! They are reading this crap off a screen, completely rehearsed and pushing this on you. They told me I signed up on some website, they couldn't tell me which one, go figure and I asked them my other information. All they had was my boyfriends cell phone number and had no other information, I told them there was no way I was going to give them my credit card information at all if they couldn't proof to me where they got the number, my other personal information and which website I supposedly signed up on.
The guy got a little b****y with me a couple different times, real professional, huh? Finally I said NO once again, and they guy said 'it still sounds too good to be true, have a nice day' and he hung up on me...yeah, can we say SCAM! I'm a very skeptical person to begin with and with all the identity theft out there, there is noway anyone is getting my personal information with my knowledge. I've seen too many scams in my life to know that anyone will do anything to get money out of some hardworking person.
Please be aware that if anyone calls you from Westgate Resorts and offers you a trip to anywhere, that its a SCAM!!!
Oh and when the guy got on the phone he called me by a wrong name, lol, they never asked my name either, idiots!
BEWARE, EVERYONE!!!!

Hey, I actually work for westgate resorts in sales here in Orlando and the offer they gave you was actually not a scam. It was a vacation package where you come on vacation and to get the discounted room rate you take a timeshare presentation. You would be what we call a VAC PAC tour, or even possibly an owner refferal tour.
What could have happened was that someone you know, friend/family, may have purchased a week and put you down as an owner refferal, only leaving your name and number. If this was the case then I do not know why the person on the phone didnt just tell you the truth. So if you think you can survive a timeshare presentation then go for the great deal next time, it's for real. But remember everytime you go to a timeshare presentation just for the discounts you may be costing someone their job because they keep their jobs based on numbers.
But if you love to vacation and are going to vacation the rest of your life then i would suggest looking into a timeshare. P.S. "the drop" they gave you happens every time like you suspected. People are more inclined to do things if they feel they got a deal, more than likely if you would have said yes to the first price they still would have given you the second anyways. If you have any questions regarding anything feel free to ask.

and it was BEAUTIFUL.... my deal was $129 4 DAYS/3 NIGHTS $129, i also got a 2 for 1 cruise ticket and an additional 3 day 2 night vacation i can use anytime in the next 18 months. No fraud. Sorry you felt that way, but you turned down a WONDERFUL vacation package and deal.
I also made a purchase on a timeshare of my own. You have NO idea what you're missing. Referrals usually only require a name and phone #, I completed some myself. I even notified those i put down so they won't think it is a scam like you did and pass up a GREAT opportunity.
