Vincent Valles, Sr. (President/Founder of Durashield Int'l Inc.) came to my home *unannounced after I filled out my address on his survey @ the home show. He took my info and began a high pressure sales pitch with me...
"You have petroleoum oil leaking out of your roof" "All that mildew is ruining your gutters" "The acid based oils are just washing your roof away" "You need Dur-A-Shield".
He wouldn't shut up with this nonsense.

Finally, he was so hungry it seemed, he cut the job to half price, so I took it (against my better judgement). Sure enough... even with this TEN YEAR WARRANTY he gave me.... 9 months later, my roof is black again... with DARKER stains.. I called and called for an appt to redo my roof, and I have not heard back from them.

I spoke with their other clients, and this is common. So common, that Vincent Valles, Sr. has MANY lawsuits against him for ripping people off and ruining their property. So bad in fact, that Vincent Valles, Sr. is NOT ALLOWED TO WORK IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA. He has so many suits piled up against him and so many business complaints, that the state told him he IS NOT ALLOWED TO EARN AN INCOME THROUGH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA.

SO...he moved to Florida... so he could rip US off. And take OUR hard earned money. He is a fraud. I've seen the roofs he did 10 and 5 years ago and they're terrible. Most roof clean companies won't clean a roof now with the polymer coating on it. Because it ruined my roof..and they don't want me to blame the company.

Vincent Valles, Sr. is a scumbag. His company is a joke. Fifteen years down the line he's still a starving beginner because Durashield Int'l Inc is NOT a "company"... it's a guy and his dream... to become rich, to be loved by all for the great invention of his product... But from what I've seen... he's just a LIAR. His new 15 yr warantee is ONLY out because he says "I'll be dead in 5 years, who cares?!"

My name is Vincent Valles, and after reading this bog I felt compelled to respond. I know of no customer by the name of Raymond that complained in 2007. I do not use high pressure tactics I believe that people are intelligent enough to make credible decisions based on the presentation. Tar contains oil which is used to keep the shingles pliable and is part of the manufacturing process. Mildew cannot ruin gutters and is easy to remove

Anyone that reduces a quoted price in half during a sales presentation is suspect and should be avoided. I have been resident of Florida for forty years and have never had a business in California. Hopefully you can read through the lines.

The company Dur-A-Shield went out of business in 2007 as the result of the economic down turn. The company had a number of long turn employees that I felt a responsibility for I used my savings and retirement to keep the company payroll alive. I finally was forced to sell my home as a result. The complaint states that I moved to Florida from California and was banned from operating a business there. I have lived in Florida since 1989 and never had a business in California nor do I have knowledge of any customer by the name of Raymond requesting help. Like many in the home improvement business I would have preferred to stay in business and service my many customers.  I'm sure that you can read between the lines on this, I really have no expections of dying in five years
