   A patriot service network sales man came to our door telling us that our roof had hail damage and it needed to be replaced. We had stated to him that we will not agree to this service if it was to much over the cost of what the insurance company was willing to pay. He states that he understands this because he has children as well and a wife in school. He then tells us that our out of pocket costs will not exceed $200 to $300. So we agree to do it. After a period of three months go by we receive a bill for $4400 that is to be paid in full in two weeks. We call the salesman named Josh and he tells us he never said such a thing and we were lying. I don't understand how he can try to rip people off and it doesn't seem to bother him. Not to mention they send us a bill saying the roof costs 10,104.44 to replace. We are talking about 2200 sq ft which cost roughly $2000 retail, now they can't tell us it costs $8000 in labor costs. Are we expected to just pay them this ridiculous amount of money without even seeing an itemized bill. I would like to know what I am being charged for. I will warn you all against the extremely poor sales tactics of this person who obviously is not even a human being. I would never suggest this company to anybody.

I wrote about the company they were actually great about resolving the issue here. It was the salesman that was dishonest. The office manager was very helpful. Lesson learned is just get everything in writting.

Patriot Service Network – Great Company!

I am the owner of the Patriot Service Network and I just want everybody who reads this report know that the author of this complaint actually made an update comment one day later, stating the following:

“. . . they were actually great about resolving the issue here. It was the salesman that was dishonest. The office manager was very helpful. . .”

I want to assure everybody that the Patriot in no way approves of dishonest sales tactics (or any other business function) period. The Sale Rep referred to in this post has not been associated with the Patriot for quite some time.

We work in an industry involving insurance restoration construction and we try to go out of our way to explain exactly the way we work with our customers and insurance companies so that there isn’t any confusion. Because our industry has its share of dishonorable contractors we are very clear on what our invoice for the work will be.

A majority of our work is the result of an insurance claim involving hail, wind, tornado, hurricane or flood. Our invoice is simple; we charge the customer what the insurance company is paying for the project – nothing more and nothing less. If the final invoice is ever different from the original insurance estimate, it is only because the insurance company has approved and agreed to the modified figures. As always, the ONLY amount the customer is paying out of their pocket is their insurance deductible. If the customer adds any additional items not covered in the claim then that would naturally be out of pocket as well.

The Patriot has an excellent record with the BBB. The Patriot has always said that we cannot be perfect, but we can respond in a professional and timely manner to resolve any issues that arise. Please judge us on how we respond to issues. However, if we are not aware that a problem exists we cannot fix the problem.
