Open Road RV - RV CENTRAL LLC 36 FOOT CLASS A GEORGETOWN TRASHED AND DEMOLISHED 46000 DOLLARS WORTH MONTCLAIR, California

my wife and i entered into a contract with jeff collison to rent out our 36 ft georgetown in early 2006 the first year there were no major incidents except that the rental checks were late and frequently bounced causing  us account charges not re-imbursed from jeff. in 2007 we had not heard anything about our rv in relation to rentals and we decided to use it in early july 2007. a few days before we were going to pick up our rv jeff called me and said that our rv had been rented early in the year and to a group in kentucky and had been thrashed during that rental to the tune of 46,000 dollars. he told us we could use another rv for our vacation. which we did. he said he was pursuing the group to recover damages. after a lawsuit and default judgement for 72,000 dollars for damage and lost rental receipts. i contacted jeff to see what progress had been made in repairs. he said no repairs had been made and that the judgement was uncollectable. i asked about their insurance binder and he said that the insurance company had refused to pay the damages. we were left with an rv that was totaled and no recourse. jeff made some repairs himself, but all work was substandard and the rv was no longer fit for rental. we were left with no other recourse than to let the rv go back to the lien holder and file bankruptcy on the deficiency balance. left. i could not file a loss with the irs because they said the judgement  was still collectable. jeff ruined our dream of owning an rv and financially wrecked us for years to come.  don't leave your rv with this company or you will suffer the same fate. think about it jeff said he was not responsible for any damages although he rented it and certified the renters were worthy.
