AM Press Assoc. Someone needs to put an end to this! Miami Florida

On March 30th 2007 It was raining out and I remember I had a female knock on the door and she was soaked. She told me she was trying to raise money by selling magazines for AM Press.I first listened to her feed me her whole story of wanting to open a new community center for the kids.Then I told her no thanks. I should have went with my gut and left it alone.But, I thought about the fact that I myself have kids and I could see myself taking my kids to that imaginary community center. So, I call her back as she's walking down the street in the rain.I wrote her a check for $12.50 and she told me within 2-10 days I needed to send the remaining balance of $12.45. Well, I asked her if I don't send the money within those days are they not going to send it?She replied they will but,it will take longer for you to get it.After she left I thought to myself well I'm not sending any money in until I get my first magazine.I told my husband about the story when he got home from work that day.He kinda just gave me that look like "sucker". Well,up until a few months ago I forgot all about the magazine and then I thought it's been awhile.I went and found my receipt and realized this happened all the way back in March.It does say "allow (90 to 120) days for delivery and It has well exceeded that.It is now November and I happen to pull up a search online for AM Press since there is no number to call.I truly can't believe the things I'm reading.Somehow this whole business needs to come to an end.There is way too many shady things going on here.Hopefully it won't be long before that happens, so there won't be anyone else feeling like a sucker out there like I do.
