Contract

AUTHOR: Mike1 - Pigeon Forge (U.S.A.)

Did you read your contract before you signed it. You are the one who looks stupid in this situation. When you buy a car, a cell phone, and a house, you are bound by the contract. What would your lawsuit be? If you cannot make your payment, quit paying. It will fall off your credit in 7 years.

bluegreen resorts

AUTHOR: Totally disgusted - birmingham (U.S.A.)

i need to explain a little, my husband and i bought bluegreen we were promised the moon we were told maintence fees would be locked in at 365 a year, we could go anywhere we wanted, if we were not totally sure about buying they would hold the check for thirty days before cashing in case we didn't want it, the salesman said if we ever wanted to sell they had a resale program, this is just a little bit of the lies we were told none of the things i mentioned on here were the truth bluetruds lied from day one, evrything the salesman said was a lie, i feel they broke there side of the contract, before the ink dried because when i got home the following monday, the bank called to see if we wrote a check for that amount, they cashed it before we left, when i called them about it every excuse in the book was given we got a maintence fee bill two months after we bought we were told we would not have to pay till the following year that was a lie tried to book there is no way not even a year out i have talked to them wrote letters to them there is no reasoning with them it is albout the almighty dollar and how many sales they can do they only care about the people that buy in the gold and silver level forget about us peons, lets rip them off, and as for steve on here you used to be an employee with them i see you have changed your tune about them on the update part in another section email me and tell me what to do, thanks for listening Teresa

Help

AUTHOR: Arijana - Saranac Lake (U.S.A.)

Hi there,

My name is Arijana, and my husband and I are very interested in joining your lawsuit. If you need anything please contact me, i tried to find a lawyer myself, but because of signed contract, none of them wanna take the case. Bluegreen lied to us about everything about this "vacation package" in order to sell time share and collect their profit. I know we should ahve had a lawyer looking over the contract or reading it ourself, but it's so long and we were on the vacation for another two days and then drove home another two days. So..... If anyody needs testimony or has a lawyer, please let me know.

Thank you

Happy Owner

AUTHOR: Debbie F. - Raeford (United States of America)

I am a Blue Green Owner and am very happy with my purchase. My husband and I have been places we would have never gone if we wouldn't have purchased timeshare. You must read the contract. Buy points from owner who want to sell their points. The places we have stayed are very nice.

Bluegreen is an evil corportation.

AUTHOR: Brandon - Ofallon (USA)

IF YOU ARE READING THIS ASK YOURSELF THIS QUESTION....WHY, IF YOU ARE A "HAPPY OWNER" WOULD YOU HAVE BOTHERED TO FIND THE TIME TO COME TO THIS WEBSITE, TAKE THE TIME OUT OF YOUR HAPPY OWNER DAY TO PLAY CHEER LEADER FOR THIS TIMESHARE COMPANY....SHORT ANSWER - YOU WOULDN'T.  THESE PEOPLE ARE SHILLS!!!!!

PAID BLUEGREEN - BOILER ROOM SHILLS!

EVERY SINGLE POST BY ANYONE CLAIMING TO BE A "HAPPY OWNER" IS COMPLETELY BOGUS.  WHY IN THE H**L WOULD YOU EVEN THINK ABOUT COMING TO THIS WEBSITE AND THEN POSTING?

If you are a Bluegreen owner heres what you can expect:

1.  No avaliablity...UNLESS you are a CASH PAYING CUSTOMER!!!!

2.  Ruined credit if you refuse to pay, regardless of how you've been duped.

3.  No customer service.  Bluegreen does not care about you as an owner - only your money.

Crooks???

AUTHOR: Mike1 - Pigeon Forge (U.S.A.)

You failed to state what the lie was.  "Everything" explains nothing!!!  I'm guessing since you mentioned bankruptcy that you have financed your timeshare.  Vacation ownership has nothing to do with you managing your finances.  Some people cant afford their cars, and they are repossed, some pople cant afford their homes, and they are foreclosed.  honestly, do you think an attorney is going to take your case because you have to file bankruptcy and cannot afford to make your payments on your timeshare???

Idiot

AUTHOR: Mike1 - Pigeon Forge (U.S.A.)

Brandon, you are an IDIOT!!!!  If you fail to make payments on your home, car, credit cards, and yes, your timeshare, it will go on your credit report.  Don't buy things you cannot afford, and your credit will be fine...

Mike the Scum Bag

AUTHOR: Brandon - Ofallon (USA)

Mike...clearly you can't read - you Moron.

You admit you are Bluegreen Corporate scum.  Enough said.  Your worthless life has amounted to little more than you stealing from good people, and helping your masters in Florida steal from honest hard working Americans.  Something I know for a fact you know little about - honesty that is.  You are a cancer among us Mike.  A festering black cancer.

As far as Idiots go, I assure you, I am FAR more educated than you, have more money than you, and have done more and will do more for the betterment of my fellow man than pond scum like you ever will.  That being said....I say to ANYONE thinking about buying into this GRADE F by the Better Business Bureau company....RUN IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION.

Oh, and Mike.....well, you'll find out.

Mike from Pigeon Forge

AUTHOR: Brandon - Ofallon (USA)

You are the Idiot you Bluegreen gutter trash.  Why don't you go do something productive with you worthless life instead of cheating good people out of their hard earned money you pond scum.

If you are thinking about buying a BG vacation package....DONT!  Save yourself tons of money and even more headaches and stress.  People that come to Ripoff Report, or any other consumer complaints site to tell you how wonderful Bluegreen is WORK FOR BLUEGREEN.

They are liars, they are thieves, and they DO NOT care about you, or your family.  They get together at Applebees after a day of cheating people and brag about how they screwed you and your family and how it's not their fault your so stupid.

My experience with Bluegreen

AUTHOR: Jack - Richmond (United States of America)

I have been an owner of bluegreen for 3 years.  I have stayed at Myrtle beach, Shenandoah crossing, and the Williams burg resort.  I have never had a [roblem with a bluegreen employee.  My Fiance has stayed at Disneyworld, and Hershey park.  She has been inovlved with Bluegreen for 10 years. She has had a couple of bad experiences.  Nobody's perfect and occassionally someone screws up.

The treatment you get on a business presentation, bluegreen gives you a gift as a marketing tool will vary by resort and the employee you get.  I just recently talked to a customer who had finished her sampler.  She was able to get 5 weeks vacation out of it!  THis is not typical a week or possibly a week plus a couple of days is more common, but it shows what is possible.

The places I stay are generally spacious, clean and well maintained. We do have some accomendations which are to small, or near train tracks, they cost less and are availiable last minute. Luckily I haven't stayed at those places.   If I have a problem, I call the front desk and expect it to be taken care of quickly.  I have always felt like a king on vacation even when I am going on a tight budget.  The resort near me as recently added a new pool area.  I enjoy going there for day use and I spend no money and no points.  I am still treated as an owner.

Bluegreen isn't for everyone, but we strive to offer value for the dollar and quaility service.  Customers who tour with me are told the limitations of saved points and other negatives.  There are many psoitives which outweigh the negatives in my opinion.

The person who asked why a bluegreen owner would visit this site is correct. It is unpleasant to read such bitter comments that contradict my expereince.  I don't expect to be back.  Still I could not resist relating my side of the story.

Jack is a Bluegreen Employee

AUTHOR: Brandon - Ofallon (USA)

Hahahaha....."We do have some accomendations which are....."

Nice slip up Jack.  Interesting good cop, bad cop thing your doing.

I'll give the devil his due.  The resort I got to stay at the one and only time I was able to get time booked (5 YEAR AGO, in 2005) was nice.  It really was, and we had a good time.

My "beef" with this company is this....they have 220000 owners and claim to have 52 resorts (which is horse sh$t too).  But, let say they're not lying (impossible).  Do the math...if they actually OWNED the units for all 52, they would need a minimum of 85 units per resort to accomodate EVERY SINGLE OWNER for a week, all year long....ALL YEAR LONG.  Guess what that means Jack.  Half of the 220000 (which is 110000 for you Bluegreen employees that failed out of Jr. High) are staying at Mertle Beach in February, or Branson in March, or Daytona in January....IF, IF THEY HAVEN'T SOLD THOSE ROOMS TO RCI!!!! -   I was told personally by the sales manager of the Branson coven that in off seasons, Bluegreen sells huge blocks (if not all blocks) of their entire resorts to other timeshare resorts (RCI, Wyndham ect...) for a fraction of what they would get otherwise.  They write off the difference from what they rent them for at full price during peak season (that has to be criminal).  The other time share company advertises them at full price during the off season and writes off the loss with the IRS just like BG.  The resort sits empty (no overhead costs), BG gets cash flow they wouldn't have otherwise and BOTH get a write off that benefits them tax wise...that is what I was told by a BG employee.  Not my words, HIS!

Add too that...NOW, they are holding a large percentage of their inventory for CASH ONLY customers for PEAK TIMES.

Bluegreen sales whores will lie and say you can vacation at any one of the wonderful resorts, any time you want....just let them know at least 30 days in advance.  No, no you cant.  That is complete lie.  As an owner you MIGHT get a week somewhere crappy when it's cold an rainy...IF YOUR LUCKY!

Soon, very soon, the truth is coming out.

A few  quotes from Jack :

"...Customers who tour with me are told..."  Translation, Jack gives tours of Bluegreen resorts.  Hmmmm....I wonder what Jack does for a living.

Fight Bluegreen

AUTHOR: liberty - (USA)

I'm on the same boat but I'm still fighting them.  First, I filed a complaint with BBB, FTC and our state attorney general.  BBB and the AG offices suggested that I refer my case to a lawyer (which I'll probably do last if nothing changes).

I have been researching and stumbled upon ARDA from a Wyndham timeshare victim.  Bluegreen is a member of ARDA (American Resort Development Association) and it's like the BBB but exclusive to timeshare companies.  I went to their site and found out about their code of ethics by which these timeshare companies should comply to, to become and remain a member.  In their code of ethics, under General Ethics Requirements, sections B and C:

B. Information, Descriptions and Disclosures.
1. Information, descriptions, or disclosures required by any applicable law, regulation and the Code, whether oral, written, or graphic, must be accurate and clear.

2. Information, descriptions, or disclosures required by any applicable law,
regulation and the Code must be consistent with one another (oral sales presentations or transaction descriptions, for example, must not conflict with sales literature or transaction documents).

3. If written, the information, descriptions, or disclosures required by any applicable law, regulation and the Code must be easily located, conspicuous, and readable.

C. Avoidance of False and Deceptive Statements. Statements made by Members,
including but not limited to, all sales and solicitations:

1. Must not convey false, untrue, deceptive, or misleading information through statements, testimonials, photographs, graphics, or other means; and

2. Must not omit material information without which the solicitations or sales
information would be deceptive or misleading, or which would affect consumer decisionmaking.

3. Must not convey false, untrue, deceptive or misleading information, with
regard to competing Firms and their Development Activities or, through statements, testimonials, photographs, graphics or other means. It shall be deemed deceptive to refer to or provide copies or excerpts of articles or statements or the like published in the print, broadcast or other media pertaining to a lawsuit or government agency action prior to final judgment or other final action on such matter, including but limited to completion of all appeals.

As far as my case is concerned, Bluegreen did all these on the day of presentation.  And for the other BG members who have been victimized by their deceptive, high pressure sales tactics, this is a great resource to fight them.  I already sent my complaint and you can try this, too.

*correction

AUTHOR: liberty - (USA)

Correcting my last statement "As far as my case is concerned, Bluegreen did all these on the day of presentation".  It should have been,  Bluegreen DID NOT, they failed to comply to ARDA's code of ethics.

My thing is, they pressured and lied to me in the presentation.   Call and complain, write and complain about them so consumers know about this company.

Exactly

AUTHOR: Brandon - Ofallon (USA)

Liberty....excellent work.  I will do that immediately.  Also, please contact me as soon as you get this.  My email is at Yahoo under the username cybershu.  You can't post email addresses here unfortunately but it's pretty easy to figure out.  There is currently a class action suit forming against BG.  I have the contact info if your are at all interested.  Email me and I'll send you the information.

Bluegreen is in fact the single worst, most unethical company in existence.  Soon, very soon they are going to have to make restitution for their piss poor business practices.
