Integrity Sales - Book Sales To Benefit Strong Children's Hospital Scam- Kelli Armstrong- Scammer Door-to-door book sales was supposed to benefit U of R students and Strong Children's Hospital-PHONY Ripoff Glendale Arizona

A very friendly young lady rang my doorbell on a recent Friday evening. She said she lived with her Mom, on Empress, nearby. She explained that she was a student at the University of Rochester (here in Rochester NY) and was selling books as a project to raise "points" and generate funds for a trip to Europe. The books could be donated to the Children's hospital, or I could have them shipped to me. She pulled a laminated sheet out of her back pocket, along with a large roll of cash. I didn't want any of the books, but being a good hearted person, wrote a $20 as a donation- made out to Integrity Sales LLC.
I was given an official looking receipt. The young lady said her name was Kelli Armstrong. She offered to help with chores or yard work in order to earn more money.
The following night, the local news showed a feature about scam artists (skilled liars) who were going door to door, selling books. But when I called the Sheriff's number, it was a different company they were investigating- not Integrity Sales.

I then calle dthe University, who told me they did NOT have a Kelli Armstrong registered there.
Called 411 and was told there is no phone listing for Integrity Sales in Glendale AZ.
Called the Public Relations for the college and the hospital.
Called another Sheriff's station, and they confirmed I was scammed.

Tried to stop payment on the check (the $35 would be worth it) but Citizen's Bank charged the stop payment to the wrong checking account and let the check go through.
However, please note- these kids are so stupid that they give their real names.

I was able to search and find this Kelli Armstrong and where she lives, etc.

Kids leave all sorts of trails. They make it simple.
The investigators will have no problem.

Just wanted to let you all know this is happening up in New York- Rochester area !!!
