I worked for Integrity sales. I started by calling a number in my local newspaper and the next day i was off to denver CO. I was told that i would have a $500 sign on bonus and be home in a few weeks What a lie that was. I arrived by bus to Denver from Indianapolis and waited to be picked up. They picked me up and were really nice...at first. i got to the hotel were Mark Torq was my manager and filled out some paperwork, NO TAX DOCUMENTATIONS, and was told to head to my room to take a shower and get ready to go eat. They never came to get me. I was tired and went to sleep that night only to be awoken by the smell of Marijuana and alcohol. I was sharing a room with to 18 year old boys and we had One guy that would check in on us kinda like a supervisor..I heard the knok on the door and it was him. he said nothing about the pot or acohol and even smoked some himself! i was in disbelief me being against any form of underage or illegal substance abuse.
I asked one of my roommates Dan if he was going to get into trouble and he replied :no man they don't care, they even supply us sometimes." Thats when i had had enough. I wanted to go home and forget this ever happened but i had to go to work. I got dressed and got my Sales book and we headed off in a hot Van with about 8 of us in it. we made periodic stops to drop off a sales person at different various locations and i was the last and paired up with my other roomate who's name was also Dan. As we approached the first house i asked him what we were supposed to say and he said just LIE,make up a sob story or something like a school trip. I don't lie and i was more frustrated than ever because that was the initial part of the job as i was being told. The next morning we were supposed to leave for St. Louis and i wanted to go home. I was overwhelmed with homesickness and disbelief. I walked into Mark Torq's office and told him that the job wasnt for me and began to cry. HE just got angry and started yelling and cursing at me telling me things like "we have spent so much F*ucking money on bringing you out here " and "you only worked for one day." I just agreed and mark sent me to the lobby of the hotel we were at to be picked up by his secretary and be takien back to the bus station. I had no money,No food, and was quite scared.
I called Mark when i got to the bus station to get the confirmation code for the bus ticket. he awnsered and told me to find my own effing way home. I then began to plead with him and beg him to send me home. after alot of no's and too bads i got angry and told him i would report him for his unstable work conditions,providingdrugs and acohol to minors, and tax fraud. He then got hesitant and told me to call back in 5 minutes. I waited and then called back He said that i was the biggest pain in the ass and that he will be sueing me for breaking contract and all this other stuff but i got my ticket and had a 24 hour layover until i could even start to come home. All and all i am the victim and i know there are more out there than just me.. We need to take this company down and Mark torq and family need to go to prision for the rest of their lives.
