National Home Protection, Inc. Deceptive Offer; Home Depot Card With Purchase of Policy Was Not Honored New York

The company offered a free Home Depot card with the purchase of a home warranty policy (DEC 2007). I was told on the phone by the "sales department" that it will automatically be mailed out to me immediately after the sale. I sent several requests via e-mails, mailed in written form, and voice messages.
Every time I called and the person answered the phone, I was told that the card would be mailed out soon. After many months, I contacted the state of New York Department of Consumer Protection. The department sent NHP a letter, which they responded that I did not send my request in time. The state sent me a letter to pursue it on my own.
I believe that NHP is deceptive and knows state laws which protect them. I am very surprised that with this many reports the state has not taken further action.
I am so tired of being RIPPED OFF by these companies that are protected by state laws.
