Pinnacle sends out salesman door to door and offers free security system. The only thing they ask in return is addvertise their sign in the front yard for one year. They don't tell you that it's going to cost you $49.99 a month for 3 years. Yes it is in a contract that you sign.

At the time I signed it I was in a hurry to be somewhere and he took advantage of the situation and said he would quickly explain the contract. He left out the fact you are under obligation to pay for 36 months! If you move it will cost you another 36 months of payments added to the date you move. If you try to cancel it will still cost you $49.99 a month until the end of the contract! DO NOT LET THESE SALESMAN IN YOUR DOOR!

Unfortunately it is not the sales rep's responsibility to read the contract, it is yours. The Pinnacle agreement is pretty standard for every security company including ADT and the other larger companies. Pinnacle also does a welcome call to confirm you are aware of the details like the price of the monitoring, the lengths of the contract, etc. This is a required call and the company does an exceptional job informing the customer, compared to any of the larger companies.
