United Family Circulation ,UFC, Theft stole blank check, fraud and forgery Sugar Hill Georgia

A salesman came to my elderly mother's home and convinced her to order magazines in the amount of $48.00. He then must have had her leave the room for a minute; he took advantage of that time and stole a blank check from the back of her checkbook. That check was written out for $196.00 and used to order several magazines that cater to the younger population Rolling Stone, Spin and Blender)

She didn't notice the missing check, but I noticed the forged check as soon as I got her bank statement and I saw the copy of the stolen check. I took my mother to the bank where they agreed that the check had been forged and filed the appropriate fraud and forgery paperwork. We have closed that bank account and opened a new one.

I went to the police and filed a report with them also. I have left several messages for United Family Circulation but have not received any response from them (big surprise).
