Hello
Please, be alert about satellite dish companies such as DIREC TV . I am very upset with the company and in my opinion their business practices are illegal and they don't even follow fair collection practices.
I was forced to cancel their services within a month or two of adquiring their services but could not continue with their services due to my existing financial services and medical conditions. Yes I did pay my first 2 bills but could not continue but the fact is that they were not authorized to reach into my account and take money that does not belong to them and specially when they took from me the ammount of $521.34, which was part of the money that was destined to pay my mortgage and other medical bills.
In my opinion that is white collar theaf and is taking advantage and thinking that because somebody makes a one time payment using its own account now this company feels they can reach into peoples accounts when ever they feel to do so. First of all I never authorized automatic payment plan and Direct TV took my money without authorization,I also like to inform that I did sended their equipment back to them even before they took my money, I also called them up to find out if they had received their equipment and they have come up with the story that they have not received the equipment back.
Sincerely
Luis E E A

obligated you to the number of months specified and DID authorize them to charge whatever card or account you used to sign up for the service.
The contract does not allow you to just bail out at no cost. The company invests in the equipment and installation at your residence and recovers that money over the term of the contract.
It does NOT allow for financial or medical conditions or anything else for that matter.
If it did, anyone wanting out of a contract could just claim hardship and opt out of their obligations.
Sorry for your difficulties, but looks like you don't understand how contracts work. The company agrees to provide a service for an agreed upon amount and term and YOU agree to pay the amount specified.
NO, I DON'T Work for DirecTV.

I have had Directv for 8 years and when I signed up I read the contract that I signed that stated if you cancel before your 2 year period is over you will be charged an early cancellation fee. Regardless of your excuses you signed and contract and did not fulfill said contract.
You are responsible for these charges - I suggest that if you are in dire straights for money do not get things that you cannot afford ie: internet, cable or satellite tv. And BTW I do not work for Directv.

In addition to the negative experience with Direc TV I would like to clarify that the photo you see atached to the report is not a photo of any Direc TV employee or any Direc TV managerial staff. The photo atached to the report pertains to the victim of the rippoff which is the person that wrote this report.

Hello
On Tuesday October the 25 I wrote about a bad experience I had with Direc TV reaching into my account and pulling $521.34 unauthorized. Now, I just noticed a comment made by someone that by the wording of the comment he placed seems to be a member of the rippoff clan called Direc TV.
Let me say that if you are not part of the solution and part of the problem instead, then stop writting fulish comments in this forum because you are either part of the solution or part of the rippoff and scamist out there. Any how if someone is not authorized to pull money of someones account they don't have no business pulling money out, it is called stealing and if somebody does not have a court order to reach into someones account, guess what? It is stealing..
Sincerely
Luis E. Encarnacion Alvira

and you also have severe reading comprehension problems.
ONE MORE TIME.....
The contract YOU signed was for a two year period...you AGREED to this when you signed it.
It also provided early cancellation penalties if service was cancelled before the two years.
Your signature also authorized them to use any account you provided them to withdraw funds to pay this penalty.
"On Tuesday October the 25 I wrote about a bad experience I had with Direc TV reaching into my account and pulling $521.34 unauthorized"
"..by the wording of the comment he placed seems to be a member of the rippoff clan called Direc TV."
Nope, don't work for them or anyone else...wrong again.
"if someone is not authorized to pull money of someones account they don't have no business pulling money out, it is called stealing and if somebody does not have a court order to reach into someones account, guess what? It is stealing.."
Also 100% WRONG, you DID authorize it...not sure how many times it takes to get through to you.
I forsee your having MANY problems in life with your attitude and comprehension.

YOU signed an agreement and regardless of you financial hardships you are bound by that agreement period. If you got electric service and did not pay the bill guess what? You would have your service terminated and would be required to pay a deposit to have it turned back on
Don't like their policy?? Too bad - you signed on the dotted line and did not live up to your end of the bargain.
