Was trying to order the DirecTV sports package called NFL SUNDAY TICKET after hearing about a promotion for early bird rates and 5 months of movie channels when you signed up. While on the website I noticed on their NFL Sunday Ticket page , https://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/content/sports/nfl?footernavtype=-1.

It stated "GET 5 MONTHS FREE of our best TV package when you buy NFL SUNDAY TICKET"on a red area on the page. It also listed the early bird pricing of $279.95.
I then called them up to order the package and the representative told me that the 5 month was only for new customers or customers that received a phone call directly from directv. I then told them that I was looking right at the website and it did not state any of this nor did it have any links to see details etc. So after hanging up I took a screen shot of the site that I seen this appear on, sent an email to them and said they were sorry for the confusion but could not do anything about it, the email messages have continued with no progress. I noticed a few days later that the site has updated the red image to now state that it is for new customers only.

PREMIER PACKAGE WITH NFL SUNDAY TICKET OFFER : New customers only. 2009 NFL SUNDAY TICKET billed in five monthly installments of $59.99 each. NFL SUNDAY TICKET automatically continues each season at a special rate, unless customer calls to cancel prior to start of season. Blackout restrictions and other conditions may apply.

So yes. They do inform you that it is for new customers only.
