Hughesnet Hughes Network HUGHESNET IS A SCAM & ARE THIEVES, SVC IS LOUSY AND THEY DOUBLE BILL!! Germantown Maryland

Exactly why you should trust no one and check for ripoff reports before doing anything anymore in this country! First off they are NOT as fast as they claim to be, that's a total lie! I fell for the Hughesnet scam, the infamous FAP is just another way to con the customer into upgrading an already lacking service. I had the Basic plan with the 200M FAP limit, of course hit it, hard not too with all the streaming video and crap on alot of websites and I do NOT watch video's, listen to music, or anything like that on the web! Only email, ebay, and my website. I upgraded today (my 30 day anniv of having the service btw) to Pro Plus which is 20 more dollars a month and the speed was "supposed" to go from 1000 kbps to 1600 kbps and the FAP increased to 425M...welllllll....it's NO faster than before, in fact it seems abit slower with more error messages that were virtually non existant before. PLUS AS TODAY IS MY "INVOICE DATE" THEY DOUBLE BILLED ME!!!!!!! Already took the money out of my account. Advice, if you are suckered into hughesnet...DON'T GIVE THEM A DEBIT CARD, GIVE THEM A CREDIT CARD AS IT'S MUCH EASIER TO DISPUTE! I will go to jail before I pay the additional "extra" payment as the acct I used is used rarely, needless to say thanks to the morons at hughesnet it's in the hole now and that's where it's gonna stay. I'm filing all the appropriate complaints and searching the several Class Action possibilities against this very dishonest, incompetant company. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Non existant, these morons don't have a clue how their own system works let alone give correct instruction on fixing anything. Their "english" is horrendous and they are quite arrogant and argumentative, very rude as well as they like to cut you off mid sentence. The installer was a total dud, lousiest install for anything I ever experienced, only had to dig a 10ft line for the cable....guy dug a snake shape coz he was talking so much and not paying attention and also failed to tighten one single nut or bolt on the dish! Thinking about hughesnet? DON'T DO IT, YOU'LL BE SORRY! Check if your sat tv provider has internet capabilities as most of them do. FAP is a total scam and only in effect because Hughes has sold more service than their antique satellites can handle. When try to cancel the service within the 30 day "satisfaction" guarantee they completely ignore the request and what do the morons do? THEY BILL YOU AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!! If you sign up for Hughesnet you will likely be doing what I'm doing inside a couple months, typing a ripoff report!
