Well back in December of 2006 I ordered satellite equipment from Joe Mullet owner of The Satellite Shop on the internet.

I received merchandise long after I ordered. The satellite equipment I received was defective.

I than contacted Mr. Mullet informing him that the satellite equipment that he sent me did not work, and requested a refund

he told me that he would not be able to refund my money or replaced the defective equipment until I sent him the defective equipment.

I than returned him at my expense for postage the equipment that I had purchased from him.

Since then I have contacted Mr. Mullet by phone, and e-mail on a number of ocassions and had spoken with him on the phone, and his reply was.
I have to seen if there is a problem with your returned merchandise first and as soon as I find out I will contact you.
He also told me that there is problemly going to be a 19.95 charge to ship merchandise back to me.

Let me tell you something this has been going on since December 2006 and I haven't heard from him since.

Since then I have contacted the BBB of Akron, OH to report him to them.

I am out 194.00 for my purchase, and out 20.00 for shipping back the defective equipment.

just one question for the person with false claims

You said you sent a copy of the bank charge and a copy of the receipt. Right?

Did you send a copy of the chargeback you filed while still keeping some of the equipment?

THAT IS CONSIDERED THEFT!!!

When you pay for something and then reverse the payment that is not really paying for it.

In other words stop slandering our business and worry about the crime you committed.

This is the end of our conversation on this matter....

If this slander is continued we will be forced file our own report with the proper authorities on the matter of your chargeback and the equipment you never returned.

The Satellite Shop Tallmadge Ohio Big Rip-off update

AUTHOR: Joseph - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, November 21, 2007

Since my last report I have contacted Joe Mullet owner of The Satellite Shop on a number of ocassions. My last attempt to settle this rip-off was unsucessfull. Mr rip-off himself e-mailed me and told me that I ripped him off and that he was the victim. He told me that he never received any payment for the merchandise. I than e-mail him a copy of my receipt, and a copy of my withdraw from my bank account and haven't heard from him since its been about a year now and he did nothing to correct the problem. I am telling everyone who wants to purchase satellite equipment do not buy it from The Satellite Shop.

#1 UPDATE Employee

incomplete information from customer

AUTHOR: Mike - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 20, 2007

I am an employee of the satelliteshop.net, I was doing some work and came across this and knew exactly who filed this complaint as soon as I seen it....I am aware of the situation described by Joseph ....

Item was returned by customer and would require bench testing to see if item is defective ( normally on these receivers they are handled with the factory to see if it is in fact defective, and not just a case of somebody using them for improper uses other than fta)....as far as him paying shipping back that is standard procedure on all equipment that is defective just like going to Best Buy you have to return it they will not come pick it up...The customer then filed a chargeback which the owner let slide so he would not have to deal with Mr. J--- anymore, but instead Mr. J-- still wanted to keep sending harassing emails and calling to get equipment he did not in fact actually pay for since he actually did a chargeback on the items...which makes this complaint completely illegitimate
