The Titan Communications office appears to be a like any other other satellite company's, just a room with a bunch of salesmen in it.  They don't seem to be doing anything wrong until we get to the advertising of the company.

Titan hired college students to pass out their company fliers.  In fact even now you may be able to see young faces passing out their flyers.  Perhaps they went back to letting independent contractor drivers hire illegal immigrants to pass them out again. 

They would pay their workers under minimum wage $6.00 or $6.25 to work putting out thousands of flyers a week.  They did this by putting their workers on 1099's so they wouldn't have to pay taxes for them and possibly to pay them less money as independent contractors.  Not only would they pay them cheap it was a hassle to get paid from them.  

Now they hire other businesses to pass out their flyers but only on commission. How they keep track of the distributors sales is when a customer calls in they ask what unique promo code is on the flyer, They "mark" the code down and the distributor company gets paid for it.  Yeah right! Total Scam. Not only have thousands of flyers been passed out for them with little return they complain about the other companies workers telling them that people in the communities are calling in complaining about them.

This is from a company who said putting flyers on a door with NO SOLICITING signs is fine because placing a flyer isn't considered soliciting.  Really? Give me a break!  

Whether you think this company has been shady is up to you but in my book you may take this into consideration next time you sign up for satellite t.v. but...

Who knows, maybe they'll change.

I don't know where you received your information.  But let me give you and other readers the facts.  There are a lot of accusations here let me go over each one.

Accusation 1. Titan office appears to be just a room with a bunch of salesman in it.

Response Titan office is exactly 2,000 sq ft 2 owners, 3 managers, anywhere from 10-18 salesman and saleswoman here M-Fri.  Sales is the life blood of our company.  I will take accusation #1 as a compliment.

Accusation 2. Titan hired independent contractors to pay illegal immigrants under minimum wage.

Response Titan has been hiring independent contractors to place door fliers for 4 years.  They are paid by the job.  We do not hire illegal immigrants.

Accusation 3. Titan now hires other businesses to pass fliers on commission only. Total Scam

Response Titan has independent contractors that are willing to pass out fliers on commission only.  If they are unhappy or think that this is a scam they can quit anytime they wish.  They get paid every week and thank us for the business.

Accusation 4 We think it is fine to place a flier on a door with a NO SOLICITING sign because this is not considered soliciting.

Response Titan has verified with city laws and we are in compliance with them.

Lex if you have any other concerns about my company I suggest you check your facts again before you make false accusations.  I have been forth coming with you and left my first and last name with contact information.  I don't expect the same courtesy from you.  But once again please don't bad mouth us.  If it happens again I will contact our attorneys and ask for legal counsel.
