Nancy Chick I took a college class from this professor online and her class method and grading structure was ill conceived and convoluted, I spent over 40 hours per week trying to complete the multitude of tasks required for this class and although she gave me good feedback online she gave me very poor grades at the end and many other student have complained that their grades were ridiculous as well. I took a college class from this professor online and her class method and grading structure was ill conceived and convoluted, I spent over 40 hours per week trying to complete the multitude of tasks required for this class and although she gave me good feedback online she gave me very poor grades at the end and many other student have complained that their grades were ridiculous as well. I am an adult professional and I took some classes online to eventually finish a degree, but the nature of Chicks teaching method was so ill-conceived that I learned nothing. I would not recommend this class to my worst enemy it was a total waste of time and money! So do not ever take a glass from Nancy Chick unless you want to be degraded and belittled and expected to brown nose constantly just to not receive a D. I brown nosed a little just to receive the measly grade of a C+. Some students were brown nosing constantly and I was just plain not willing, so I am sure that was part of the problem in regards to my grade. However I think to grade student based on their ability to brown nose rather than on there work is completely unethical. Overall there were many red flags from the very beginning in this course that something was very wrong with Nancy Chick, I should have dropped the class at the very beginning when I realized the teacher was unethical and demeaning to the students, an just on one big scary power trip all the time. I took this class from the University of Madison's Online extension program which I expected to be professional because it is affiliated with the UW Madison. Nancy Chick is not the caliber of teacher I would expect from UW Madison and as it turns out she is not actually a Madison teacher at all but rather a Rice Lake Professor which figures. Rice lake is a small town, likely to contain small minded people bent on middle management type power trips.
