ADT BOUGHT OUT SECURITY LINK, WITH WHOM I HAD A MONITOR CONTRACT.
THE SECURITY LINK CONTRACT WAS AN AUTO-DRAFT ON MY BANK. SECURITY LINK BEGAN BILLING ME IN ADDITION TO MY AUTO-DRAFT.

IT TOOK 4 MONTHS AND REPEATED ACTIONS ON MY PART TO GET THE AUTO DRAFT STOPPED. YET, I KEPT GETTING BILLS AND PHONE CALLS FOR THE "PAST DUE" AMOUNTS.

IN JAN 2002, I WAS ASSURED THE PROBLEM WAS RESOLVED, AND PAID THE ACCT UP TO DATE "THRU MARCH". AFTER THAT I RECEIVED TWO MORE COLLECTION CALLS- WHICH, WHEN I EXPLAINED AGAIN FROM THE BEGINNING, THEY "FOUND" NOTES ATTACHED TO MY ACCOUNT AND AGREED TO SEND ME A CORRECTED STATEMENT.

FINALLY IN MARCH, I RECEIVED A NEW BILL, AGAIN DEMANDING PAYMENT FOR PAST DUE AMOUNTS. AFTER 6 MONTHS OF REPEATED PHONE CALLS AND EMAILS, I AM STILL RECEIVING NASTY PHONE CALLS AT NIGHT AND BILL FOR MY "PAST DUE" ACCOUNT FOR CHARGES WHICH I HAVE ALREADY PAID.

EVERY CALL TO CUSTOMER SERVICE HAS TO START FROM THE BEGINNING, WITH EACH AGENT HAVING A MORE ARROGANT ATTITUDE THAN THE LAST...

A REQUEST TO SPEAK DIRECTLY TO SUPERVISOR REALLY IRRITATES THEM...I HAVE HAD MORE PROBLEMS WITH THE ADT CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPT UNDER MIKE PARSONS AND RUTH POLLING THAN WITH ALL OTHER COMPANIES IN THE LAST 25 YEARS. THEY CLAIM ALL CALLS ARE RECORDED.

I CHALLENGE ANYONE TO LISTEN TO THE RECORDINGS AND SEE WHO IS PROVOKING WHOM. AT THIS POINT I WOULD SIMPLY LIKE TO SEVER MY DYSFUCTIONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH THIS COMPANY, AND HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT I WILL HAVE TO BUY OUT OF MY 3 YEAR CONTRACT.

THE SALESMAN, PAUL EBERSOLL, WHO SOLD ME THE SYSTEM, REFUSES TO RETURN MY CALLS. IN MY OPINION, ADT IS A COMPANY OF RUDE KEYSTONE COPS.
