My Mom lives in Brighton, CO. My Mom (on vacation) received a call from AC&A about contacting Ext.2238. On Tuesday, 7-8-08, I contacted them and inquired about the call to my Mom. AC told me "Someone in the state of Colorado has filed a complaint against (Mom). I asked AC if they were a law firm in Colorado. AC replied, "Yes, we are", which is bulls*** as I later discovered. I'm going to file a complaint with the Colorado Attorney General's Office-Collection Agency Board per the fraud in representing themselves as a law firm in Colorado in the attempt of using fear tactics to collect money.

As it turns out, Counterforce Security in Houston contacted AC about money that they claim Mom owes. Mom is 80 years old, disabled, on Medicare and Social Security. Mom had a house in Brighton that had a Counterforce security system. When Mom moved out to a Senior Citizen complex because she couldn't take care of the house by herself, Counterforce refused to let Mom out of a contract even though Counterforce told Mom to fax in a request to be dissolved from the contract. A lady from local Channel 7 News informed me that there are various lawsuits pending against AC in Denver County/ District Court for I"ll BET fraud in representing themselves as a lawfirm in Colorado.
