I don't think I could recall having been cheated by any one person or organization with shrewd-criminal-like salesmen that APX Alarm system has. A young male came to my house advertising this company and offered free installation and activation with FREE SERVICE for the first 36 WEEKS. After that, we have the option to cancel the service or pay 39.99 per month if we decide to extend the service. He told us to sign the form, and later that month, we received a notification bill that required us to pay 39.99 per month for a total of 39 MONTHS!!! I called the company and told them we were not informed of any charges until at least after 36 weeks but they told us that we have already agreed to the terms of the contract and that we signed the form. This is TOTALLY NOT TRUE. So I called the salesperson and when I mentioned my name and why I called, he immediately hung up! Then I called the company again to file a complaint on the salesman but I am sure no legal action is brought against him. This is just a warning/advice to all to TRUST NO ONE, especially the salesmen representing APX Alarm system.

Again, the whole purpose of this report is not aimed to defame this company's reputation, but to convince and inform others to be aware of scams and chicanery from any salesmen about. Do yourself a favor and avoid business from any salesmen from APX if possible. These people will do do anything deceitful so that they can earn their bonus paycheck. But if you are still interested in having a security system installed for your safety, do call the company and talk to customer service to confirm if everything the salesperson said is correct.

***I certainly have learned my lesson and I will spread the word about this salesman who professed himself by the name of Darron (but calls himself B.J. on his automatic voice recorder).

(So-called Darron came to my house on May 2009)
