It seems no matter what you do you can not cancel this monitoring service. I called and was told I could if I sent a fax to "Customer Service" before the 3 month payment was exspired. I sent the fax on the date I was required a month before my next quarter bill. Guess what I got another bill again for the next quarter. I called customer service which should be called "On Hold Forever" they had no record of my fax or any information concerning my request. What does it take to cancel a service? They lady went off for their 30 minute break and came back with you can not cancel because you renewed in August of this year. I never renewed any thing or signed any thing and I was told when we started this monitoring service in 1994 we could cancel at any time. Why was I told the first time on 10/07/08 just fax with your signed cancel request?

Find another monitoring service, so you may pay more but a least you do not get customer service when you call.

Cost to Cancel Service

I just received a letter, dated 11/25/08 from Safe Security stating I owe $313.83 dollars to cancel my service. I called Safe Security on 11/24/08 after I received a bill for next quarter, I was told I had to pay through August 2009 before I could cancel. This is after I was told on 10/07/08 my owed nothing because I cancelled before my the next quater started. What was nice about the letter they included a copy of my original aggreement which stated it was no longer in effect as 1999. No where did it state Safe Security could just change as they wished after 1999. Is this a rip off or what?

If I am not allowed to send this website in this update it is the Better Business Bureau in the San Francisco Bay Area, Oakland, California. I currently have a compalint open about Safe Security and they admit to nothing wrong. Maybe if enough of us start complaining some thing will get done. Oh, paid the $313.83 to get them off my back. I got tired of the daily phone calls and leaving messages about no alarm monitoring and how dangerous it could be on older people like wife and I. So please all of you get a chance to complain do it, this is the only way to drive these people out of business or into some kind of compliance.

Well No Word or Cancellation From From Safe Security

After I cancelled my contract with Safe Security they told me I would receive a mailed cancellation form, well still waiting. This is what I have been saying about their customer service which is non-existent, never was! I am tired of calling and waiting on hold for all most an hour for some one who does not know. Please find a better security company, you may need to have a good one.

My dealings with the Better Business Bureau is an up hill battle, but they have my complaint, now every please join me!
