The Wackenhut Corporation underpaid overworked denied time off unhealthy conditions Palm Beach Gardens , Florida

The Wackenhut Corporation is a terrible place to work. I work for Wackenhut at A site in Pennsylvania we only get paid 7.75 an hour and our workload is huge.

I have been working at this site for 2 years and have never recieved a raise I have 2 children and this is our only source of income my son needed medical treatment for an ailment he was born with and I was denied 1 day off to take him to an appointment at the childrens hospital.

The man they hired to be supervisor at our site has never had any security experience and was never trained even though the training we usually receive is worthless and is usually done in 20 minutes anyway.

I am stationed in a guardhouse at least 800 feet from the facility were guarding and we dont have any restroom facilities in the guardhouse so we have to wait until certain times to shut the gate and use the restroom resulting in all the guards holding it for hours sometimes because if we shut the gate before the prescribed time we get reprimanded this is a huge health concern.

Almost everyday there is something new added to our already large workload and it must be done perfect or it's another reprimand.

we are severely understaffed resulting in no time off for anybody who asks for it yet the site supervisor can take off anytime he wants.

This may just come off as me complaining about working but all the other reports on this site can back up my story.
