They failed to follow any of the FTC guidelines required for business opportunity sellers requiring 10 business days before you pay any money; they didn't give a list of 10 previous purchasers with addresses; they didn't give a fully audited financial statement; they didn't give background and experience of the business's key executives; or the cost of starting and maintaining the business and responsibilities once invested in the education program. When I asked them to downgrade to a smaller contract and refund half of the monies invested, they ignored me and said that I was not eligible to receive any refunds. They did not fulfill their part of the contract in the sense that since I could not afford to travel to the classes all over the country, they were supposed to send me the material, but they didn't. After paying $34,590.00 for this type of education which was supposed to enhance my retirement, rather the cost of hotel and travel to the classes, made it impossible to continue. Since that time I am still paying off the credit cards and will be for another 2 years -- since I am now worse off than when I started -- being down to my Social Security retirement only. This is a definite hype and scam and I would advise anyone to stay clear of Russ Whitney or any of his affiliate firms. The Attorney General of the State of Florida is highly involved in this through their Fraud Division.
