Stay away from StepRep.MyFrontSteps: their project managers are awful- not sure these exist, but anytime you are on the phone with one of their "drones" they speak of some project manager that they will be sure to contact for an update report. I've never gotten the courtesy of a name, email, or extension for these so called ghosts.
The last account manager I spoke with when I learned that my 2nd account manager had been fired 3 days earlier, told me that there is no one at the company older than 30. I could care less how old the employees are as long as they have some authority to make something happen... or at least update me on the progress so I can continue to plan the marketing efforts. Currently, I still have some untrue accusations that are not dealt with and do not know when they will do something about that. StepRep.MyFrontSteps.com is not a company you can do business with.

Is this report just a test for our system?

AUTHOR: jtomlin - Saskatoon (Canada)

StepRep is a social media tool kit for small businesses and business people.  One of the tools is a reputation management solution that alerts the user of any online mentions they receive.  This allows them to thank praise and respond to criticisms.  Naturally, I was alerted to this post and would like to respond.

My first reaction is that this is a completely bogus claim trying to smear our company.  We respond well to criticism and appreciate feedback positive or negative, but this is why I feel this posting is not legitimate:

- First, it's hard for us to rip our user off because we are not currently charging anything to our users; we have a free software solution.
- We don't really have a help or support line for people to call so the statement about being "on the phone with their drones..." is rather dubious.
- We don't have account managers so it's impossible for Davidg to have one let alone two.
- We haven't ever had to 'fire' any project managers in our company's history.
- The claim that someone told him there was no one over 30 is silly because it's simply not true.  I'd say most of our team of 25 is over the age of 30.  This is our new site with a bio of our team members:  http://www.socialconnections.com/team/

If this is a case of a miscommunication, we are eager to hear how we can make our solution better.  Davidg or anyone wanting more information can contact me via email at jtomlin (at) vendasta (dot) com.

P.S.  Here are a couple of 3rd party reviews:

Obviously, I'm coming across very defensive, but this post is rather outrageous.  If there is anything that we have done to negatively affect Davidg, I'd like to get that fixed.  The good news is that it really allows me to showcase how we can find negative posts in a hurry so people can respond before their reputation is tarnished.
