What is this guy complaining about. This delivery service is standard industry protocol. Also, most freight lines used by UPS and Fedex are seperate companies independently contracted by UPS and Fedex. Many of those individual freight lines have a contract with BOTH UPS and FEDEX.
Even if the freight service used was UPS LTL, the delivery time and fees are no different than Fedex. If this whiner wanted delivery by a certain time and phone calls made, the shipper should have selected that service and options. Apparently the shipper wanted to trim cost and freighted it the most economical method possible. Fedex charges fees and/or higher rates for phone calls and guaranteed arrival dates and times too! Without paying for the service and options, Fedex will have you wait for delivery sometime during the entire business day and subject you to certain fees.
And thank you, dlanski, for making it clear that part of the problem as you clearly stated that you do not read what you are signing. Are you insinuating that Fedex doesn't have small print too?? Thanks for the laughs!
