Central Parking System river center shopping mall, san antonio,tx excessive parking fees san antonio, Texas

The River Center Mall is located in downtown San antonio situated along the river walk which is a popular tourist area. The Mall offers parking lots as part of the mall property, and like all shopping malls, parking was free at one time; however over the past few years parking fees were imposed.

My particular complaint is the fees charged for parking. I spent  an hour shopping and upon exiting was charged $6 and all I had was $5 The attendant would accept cash or personal check which I did not have.They would not accept my credit card so my only option was to sign a notice requiring me to send in a  check for an additional $10.  A total of $16 for an hours parking! I have lived in San Antonio for 12 yrs and hate to see the public ripped off to shop at mall! It certainly must leave a poor impression of the mall.  I know they have lost my business
